Title: The most important purpose of life

content addition>

The most important purpose of life (1 Corinthians 14:1)

1. Life is a teaching on how to love.

“30 Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.” 31 The second is this: Love your neighbor as yourself. There is no greater commandment than these.” (Mark 12) :30-31)

Let's apply it to my life about 'everything' in 1 Corinthians 16:14, “Do all your things with love.”

2. What is love? The Bible says five things about love.

(1) We love because God loved us (1 John 4:7-8).

1 John 4:19 says, “We love because he first loved us.”

There are members in the church who have low self-esteem. They always feel like they don't deserve it. Why do you think so?

Do you know why people judge others, treat them cynically, and behave meanly? Do you know why people are angry, self-righteous, and always downplaying others? The reason is that they are disrespecting themselves. Find 1 John 4:16 and believe in God's love.

(2) Love is a choice and a commitment (Deut. 30:20).

Love is an action, not an emotion (1 John 3:18).

The Bible repeatedly commands us to love God and one another. But emotions can never be commanded.

Love is a kind of skill (1 John 4:7).

Love is a habit (Luke 6:32, Hebrews 13:1, John 13:35).

To learn to love

(1) To be good in a relationship, you must commit to growing up.

(2) Learn what Jesus did. You will join a small group and watch the 40 Days of Love DVD.

We will practice the skill.

We will develop that habit.

You must believe that God helps you.

3. It is not a matter of effort, it is a matter of faith. Jesus said, “Love others as I have loved you.”

The key to love is not to work harder to become more lovely. The key to love is to let Jesus love you through you. It is to experience God's love in your heart. Feel the love, feel forgiven, feel the grace. Then suddenly it will boil out of you.
