Title: The Most Valuable Meaning of Life
Contents
The most precious meaning of life (Colossians 1:24-29) 2010.07.04.
If someone asks you, 'Are you happy?', how would you answer that reason? Most people can say that the reason is because of a good environment or just because I met a good person, but we Christians will have to do it differently. You should be able to say that you are happy to have true freedom to your heart's content after you believe in Jesus Christ. How free do you think you are? The happiest people are free people. A free man who is not bound by anything and lives with such a light heart as if he could fly freely in the sky! That person is a happy person. Theologically speaking, a soul completely free from sin and death, selfishness, greed and desire, discouragement, disappointment, despair and frustration, Satan and the law, and God’s wrath and curse, that is salvation and true happiness.
Gentlemen, those who do not know happiness do not know unhappiness.
Unhappy, yet you never know how unhappy I am. That is truly unfortunate. Those who have not experienced true freedom do not know that they are not free. Because that's how I've lived. Those who do not know true freedom are living such an unfree life that they do not even know what true misery is, how poorly I am right now. Therefore, happiness consists in knowing what true freedom is and protecting it. The freedom that God has given to us must be kept as it is without being tied up again, and furthermore, we must enjoy freedom. A person is a happy person only when he can enjoy freedom as the happiest person.
But if you think about it a little more deeply, there is happiness that is more important than this, and that is enjoying the freedom to let go of this freedom you have been given with a happy heart, and the freedom to give it back. The very freedom that gives up the freedom given to me is what makes humans the happiest. Humans are sometimes deceived by themselves, and they struggle to escape from their extremely limited freedom anyway. Often times, we do not even know what it means. Eventually, when you grow up, you realize that you are not alone and that you are not free. I know that my personality has already been loved a lot and that I have been in grace.
Ladies and gentlemen, according to the medical experts, what a person's life is about being born into this world is actually a miracle equivalent to one in a million. The fact that I was born into this world alone is a miracle more than one in a million. It is also a miracle that it has survived to this day. What did I do on my own? Was I born with a choice of parents or a point of view? Where did my will work? They gave birth to them and grew up by raising them, and this generation is just what it is at this point in time. So where the hell was my freedom?
As the years go by, there are three things you will realize as you get older. One is that I am not alone. why? I can't even cry and laugh at will. We are among a lot of people. Multiple people can be influenced by one's mood. A huge number of people could get hurt or even die because of one word mistake. Another is living with too much indebtedness.
So, some people make a will when they die, saying, "Now that I think about it, I owe you too much. I am indebted to my parents, even my children, to my neighbors and to the church. true words. If you think about it more deeply, that there is no way to pay off your debts because you have received so much love and been owed so much. Another is only the grace of God. I come to realize that 'I was caught in the chains of God's great grace'.
Think about the past. Have any of you been abandoned? If I was ill, there was God's love, and if I changed the course because of a failure in business, I should be able to interpret that it was God's mysterious economy. As the years go by, I come to realize more and more deeply that every event and reality that appears in my life was God's mysterious love, providence, economy, and the hand of God's grace.
Now what is a Christian and what does it mean to believe in Jesus? It's not that I love God, it's that I realize that God loves me. Today, I realize again that God already loved me. Faith is not that I believe in God and love God, but that I realize how much God loves me. My existence, my being, and my ministry! Even today, I realize that all my life was in God's great love.
It says in 1 Corinthians 9:16. I was born with this grace, lived with this grace, and received such tremendous love from God. Now, if I do not preach the gospel, I deserve a curse and I have nothing to boast about. It was the recognition of his existence that he was the kind of person who had nothing to be proud of no matter how hard he worked, and no matter how much he sacrificed.
Think again today in this text. He was truly sincere, humble and confident. It says in the text. According to God's economy, God's economy given to me, I am working here today. As the years go by, little by little, it seems. What happened at that time was not accidental, failure was not accidental, and being betrayed at that time was by no means accidental. And I know that I am in this secret.
In today's text, the Apostle Paul says: 'That's why I work hard.' Knowing that I am in the great economy, I work hard. Thinking of the me who was captive to that economy, the me who was chosen by God, and now I choose that grace. So I give back my freedom. I will not live for the past. I will live only for the Lord. The freedom to completely give up the given freedom, there is glory. There is a missionary named Dr. Stanley Johnson, who is world-famous for his life in India. I have the testimony of that missionary who worked hard for a mission all his life. It is said that every Christian inevitably experiences three things.
The first experience is freedom from anxiety. There are many things that make us worry and disturb us, but Christians are free from all these anxieties. Faith is experiencing complete freedom from anxiety. Another thing, I can't explain in words how happy my heart is. I cannot explain why I am happy because it is a mysterious joy, and the joy of a Christian who has that joy in his heart, but a Christian experiences wonderful joy in the Holy Spirit.
Third, experience hardship.
Ladies and gentlemen, if you love someone, it consists in rejoicing in the work you do for him, and if you do not have joy even if you work hard for the rest of your life, it is not love. It's never love. Because there is no love, there is no happiness. We rejoice in suffering and enjoy sacrifice, and the more we suffer, the more we rejoice. If we suffer in the name of the Lord, it is the greatest glory. That is the pinnacle of Christian faith. The Apostle Paul thought that the only good thing about me was grace. Now, the most rewarding life is spent on service. If there are still many elements to be used in service, it is something to be grateful for. You will live the most precious and precious meaning of life.
