Title [5.9] The name of the parent
Content r> (Matthew 15:1-9)
Some of the ignorant people around us say that Christianity is an illegitimate religion because it does not hold sacrificial rites. In other religions, offering sacrifices to the deceased parents is filial piety, but Christianity teaches living parents to be filial by serving them wholeheartedly. So in Christianity, there are no sacrifices and there is a 'commemoration service', and this 'commemoration service' has a deep meaning. It is a time to remember and reflect on the will of the parents, the beautiful personality, and the prayers they prayed for their children.
When it comes to honoring parents, the Bible uses a lot of very strong expressions. In today's text, he said that the sin of blaspheming one's parents will surely die. This means that it is proper to drag them out of the city and stone them to death.
Theologically, there is only one ultimate and eternal parent, God. However, in Ephesians 6, it says, "Obey and honor your father and mother, for this is the first commandment with a promise, for it is right in the sight of the Lord." This means that when your relationship with your parents is right, your relationship with God will be right. In a degenerate society that does not honor parents at any age, it can be seen that the faith to honor God has also declined.
The Bible records the event of Mount Moriah, who achieved the greatest filial piety for his parents. When Abraham tied up his son Isaac and raised him up on a wooden altar on Mount Moriah to offer his son Isaac as a burnt offering, there is no record of Isaac rebelling anywhere in the Bible. “God has told you to sacrifice me.” It is evidence of pure obedience. Abraham was a filial son who obeyed God's word, and Isaac was a filial son who obeyed his father's word. The meeting place between the filial sons and daughters was Mount Moria, and God built a temple on Mount Moriah. And to those who show filial piety to their parents, He gave them the blessing, "Through your offspring, all peoples under the world will be blessed."
[All children of this earth, honor your parents!] Respect is not compassion or compassion, but a heart that looks up to your parents, respects and loves them. Please remember that you will receive grace as much as the depth of respect for your parents. Filial filial piety A filial son has a son and a son under the old man. The image of a son carrying his elderly mother on his back is a figure of filial piety (孝). I hope that your family will be a happy and harmonious family where there are parents who care for their children like this, and filial piety that respects their parents.
As the old saying goes, “filial piety can only be imitated. There is a saying that filial piety can only be imitated.” Today, Father's Day, once again? I bless you who live in the name.
