Title: The nature of worship

Contents

Bible Text: John 4:23-24 Title: Nature of Worship

* Worship is for God.

Therefore, worship is said to be a time of meeting with God.

The reason is that there is the presence of God in worship.

Exodus 20:24 says, “Wherever there is a remembrance of my name,

He will come to you and bless you.”

Therefore, worship has two characteristics.

First, worship is offering.

* This is not worship, but offering.

1) I give my heart. 2) I offer my prayers. 3) I give my life.

4) I give you my praise. 5) I give my body and gifts.

Therefore, the offering should not be merely formal.

Prepare with sincerity. * Prepare with your heart. * Prepare in prayer.

* If possible, please come before the worship time and prepare.

If you look at the members of our church, there are members who are late for 5-10 minutes.

There are people whose basic ability is to set the time, and 30 minutes early in the morning.

Some saints come out an hour earlier.

* Please prepare your gifts carefully in advance.

* Worship receives grace and blessings as much as I have prepared with all my heart.

Second, worship is received from God.

Worship is not just giving what is mine to God, but now through worship.

There is a part of receiving what is from God.

Then, what do you receive through worship?

1) Receive the working grace of the Holy Spirit.

Romans 14-17 says, “The kingdom of God is not about eating and drinking,

But righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.”

Acts 10:44 says, “As Peter was speaking these words, the Holy Spirit

He comes down to everyone.”

2) Receive the prayer of blessing.

Numbers 6:27 says, “In this way they shall bless Israel in my name.

I will bless them.”

That is why the pastor prays for dedication, pastoral prayer, and benediction.

3) Receive the word of God.

1 Thessalonians 2:13 says, “When you receive the word of God, which you have heard from us,

It was received not as the words of men, but as the words of God, and it is truly so.

This word also works in you who believe.”

Deuteronomy 5:29 says, “But they always had such a heart and feared Me.

Keeping all my commands, may they and their descendants be blessed forever.”

Receiving the Word is like receiving a poem of blessing.

When you take this with you and sow it in obedience in your life, the word is

As the fruit of amazing blessings, it will appear thirty-fold, sixty-fold, and one hundredfold.
