Title: The One The Lord Loves
Bible: Psalm 127:1-2
Starting Point of the Word>>
This time, we would like to share our talk under the title, “The One Who Loves Jehovah.”
Psalm 127 is “a psalm of Solomon, a song that goes up to the temple.”
This is a poem about the history of salvation that God has given for the people of Israel.
In order to understand these words, we must be able to focus on what we expect and hope for in the covenant of God's grace.
In other words, if God had not shown grace to the Israelites according to the covenant, all their efforts would have been in vain.
Likewise, our lives as saints are nothing without God's grace.
Therefore, those whom Jehovah loves who know the faithfulness and grace of God's covenant can sleep in peace.
Those whom God loves are those who live in His grace.
Today, I hope that we too will become believers who live a life of true peace by living in God's love and grace.
Go to Word>>
If so, what kind of life does God love look like?
First, the effort to build is not in vain.
If we look at verse 1 of the text,
“Unless the LORD builds the house, those who build it labor in vain”
Says.
The word 'house' here is 'bite' in Hebrew, which means “human talent, effort, and skill.”
Also, the Hebrew word for ‘labour’ is ‘hamal’, which means “heaviness, tiring pain”.
And the word ‘vanity’ is ‘shou’ in Hebrew, which means ‘false’.
Everyone hates being interfered with, and has a natural tendency to do whatever it takes.
However, children are safe and happy only if they live in the presence of parental intervention.
It seems that the older you get, the more you can build your own life, but the reality is that you are not.
Therefore, we should pray that God intervenes in our lives and that God builds our lives.
We must realize that a house that God does not build will be destroyed.
Solomon is a king with a very good start.
He wanted God to establish him, and he wanted God to rule him.
So they built the temple of God.
But gradually, he began to dislike God's intervention.
I started to judge and act freely.
It was then that all of Solomon's politics began to fail.
“Vanity, vanity, vanity, vanity, all things are vanity” is the confession of Solomon who lived without God.
Could it be that you rejected what God established you and lived your life as you please?
From now on, I hope that God will establish it.
That way, there will be no collapse and no waste.
Because this is the life of those whom God loves.
Second, your hard work is not in vain.
Looking at the second half of verse 1,
“Unless the LORD guards the city, the watchman stays awake in vain.”
Says.
There were not many wars in Solomon's time, but there were no major wars.
Solomon may have studied the case of his father David.
He must have analyzed the cause of his father's victory.
His conclusion was, “Unless the LORD guards the city, the watchman stays awake in vain.”
At the time of Solomon, the country was very prosperous.
Solomon's glory is still missed by Israelis today.
Solomon realized that the glory of the country he ruled was because God was protecting it.
No matter how much we try to keep it, if God doesn't keep it, our efforts will be in vain.
Therefore, God must protect life, and God must protect health.
God must protect your material possessions, and God must protect your children.
Business must also be protected by God.
I hope that you will become believers who are loved by God so that your hard work is not in vain.
Third, your hard work is not in vain.
If we look at the words of verse 2,
“It is in vain that you eat the bread of toil”
Says.
There are many chaebols who are currently struggling.
It is also something that must be inevitably faced in the era of changing economic policies.
However, from the point of view of the founder, who worked tirelessly day and night to start the company, it was vain.
We need to realize that the toil without God will be like this even if there is a difference in content or degree.
No matter how hard you try, it's like pouring water into a jar that's broken at the bottom.
If God is not with us, even eating the bread of toil is in vain.
Therefore, we must work hard and entrust the event to God.
You must take the initiative and become the person God loves.
At the end of the speech>>
Those whom God establishes are at peace.
Those whom God protects have no worries.
Those who let God work have joy.
Please, I pray in the name of the Lord that all of our members today will become loved ones of God and that any building, keeping, or working will not be in vain.
