Title: The One Who Overcomes the World
Content Title: One who overcomes the world
Bible: 1 John 5:1-5
It says that only those who believe that Jesus is the Christ can keep love and overcome the world, and this tells us that we must have faith. “For every child born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world. Our faith Let's think together what is the faith that overcomes the world and gain grace through the text.
First: Those who have the faith to conquer the world.
“This is the victory that has overcome the world, our faith” (verse 4). The faith that overcomes the world is the faith that conquers the world. God created man in the image of God and made them to have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the sky, over livestock, over all the earth, and over all that creeps on the earth. “God blessed them, and God said to them, Be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth and subdue it, and have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the sky and over every living thing that moves on the earth” (Genesis 1:26-28)
He said, “Subdue the earth.” To become a conqueror, you must overcome your fear. The land God has given is something to be conquered. Don't be afraid of the world and conquer the world with faith.
Second: Those who love the children of God.
“Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God, and everyone who loves the Begotten loves him who is born” (verse 1). Those who are born of God are those who love God and who love other brothers and sisters who are born of God. is. (1 John 2:29) “If you know that he is righteous, you will know that everyone who does righteousness is born of him.” When it is said that a person born of God is a doer of righteousness, it can be seen that loving brothers and sisters is doing righteousness. Because this is the manifestation of the law, and the law is fulfilled with love.
third ; He is the one who keeps the commands.
“This is the love of God, that we keep his commands, and his commands are not heavy” (verse 3). But was it easy for you to keep the commands? Knowing that you have to lay down your life in order to keep the commandments, I don't think it's easy at all. But because God first loved us (1 John 4:19) and gave us the ability to love, “we love because he first loved us”, we can easily keep his commands. In other words, the power to overcome the world comes from the belief that Jesus is the Son of God, and those who have such faith have the power to keep the commands.
