Title: The One Who Received Grace
Contents
The happiest people in the world are those who are favored by the Most High. In the old era of absolute monarchy, subjects with strong love and trust from the king enjoyed absolute privileges and glory. Also, the women who were favored by the king moved the sovereignty of one era. Even in the world, if you receive the grace of the Higher, you will enjoy such powerful authority and wealth. As such, we must realize with the eyes of the spirit how precious the blessings of the saints who receive the grace of our Lord, the Lord of hosts, are.
Today, we would like to take a look at the process of receiving the grace of Peter, who received the greatest grace from Jesus in the New Testament. As a fisherman, he received the grace of Jesus, became a disciple, and became a person of faith that is heard by everyone around the world today. Roman Catholics claim to have inherited the papacy to Peter. Why did he receive grace from Jesus? That is, what does the person who received grace look like?
1. A person who receives the Lord who has come.
Many people followed Jesus during his missionary journey, but he came to the Sea of Galilee where the brothers Peter, Andrew, James, and John were. I met them there. And as he requested, Peter received the Lord who had come. In our life, the Lord sometimes came to our side, and we received grace because we received and served Him. I didn't meet you, but the Lord came to me. Sometimes the Lord comes to us through the family who believes first, sometimes through friends and neighbors, and those who receive it will receive grace.
* When will Jesus come?
1) A hardworking person comes to you when you are working hard. He came to Peter while he was washing his nets diligently.
2) He comes to him when he fails in his business and is frustrated. Consider the situation of Peter, who has been washing empty nets all night without catching a single fish.
3) Jalru, who has a heart to seek and explore the spiritual world, is coming to you.
Since Peter was originally a disciple of John the Baptist, he was seeking spiritual grace in his heart. The Lord gives grace to those who long for it.
2. Those who obey the word of the Lord.
Peter obeyed all the requirements of the Lord, and he received favor from it.
1) He borrowed his boat from the Lord. We receive grace by giving our time, possessions, and devotion.
2) I followed the command to “lift the boat a little off the land”. “Go on land” was meant to preach. In order to receive grace, we must keep a distance from the world. If you get too close to the world, it will be difficult to receive grace and the grace you have received will also disappear.
<1 John 2:15> "Do not love the world or the things that are in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him."3) "Go into the deep and cast your net" was also obeyed. It did not make sense compared to the general experience of not being able to catch a word last night and there was not much fish in the deep, but he obeyed the word of the Lord.
He was full and saw the miracle of being filled with meat twice as much. Believers receive grace when they obey. You cannot receive grace if you have logic and reason in front of the Word. Therefore, if you obey, serve, and pray, you will receive grace.
So you have to go deep. If you go deep into prayer, Bible study, and service, you will receive grace. No matter how much you lick the surface of a watermelon, you will never know the taste of the watermelon. You have to cut it deep. At the beach, you can only see empty shells, but if you go deep into the sea, there are abalone and pearls. Grace must go deep in order to receive it.
3. Those who have received the evidence of obedience.
“Believing in Jesus Jesus has received much evidence. Please gather more faith in Jesus Jesus, the precious Jesus” (chapter 354). I still have no proof? Please accept Jesus personally, obey Him, drink too close to the world, and enter the world of deep grace.
4. A person who is humble and submissive.
At that time, Peter fell down before the Lord and confessed, “Leave me, Lord, I am a sinner.” Jesus gave him the mission of managing the kingdom of God. He hoped for everything and followed the Lord.
This person is a person who has developed a personal relationship with the Lord, and Jesus, who used to be a teacher, is seen as <my Lord>. Then he becomes humble and completely submissive. My thoughts, my arguments, I give up on everything. This person has been greatly favored and has been greatly used. Those whose reward will shine forever, not only on this earth but also in the eternal kingdom (Daniel 12:3).
