Title: The One Who Stops Anger
Contents
Ezekiel 22:17-31 / One who holds back his anger
* Continuing from yesterday's words, / He points out the specific sins of Israel.
- Not only the people of Israel and the high officials...
& to stop the fall - even the prophets and priests / sinned.
* Through today's text / What kind of God is... What are the lessons he gives me...
& Let's think / do a few things.
1. God says Israel has become useless dregs.
* However, just because it has become [useless garbage]... / God throws it away / not.
** What does God do?
Verse 20
- God put him in the furnace of wrath and wrath...
& removes all impurities - to / purify Israel again.
** In other words... / God puts him in a furnace...
& God's people - a holy people, / a pure people.
* Dear friends!
- God wants us / to be [a holy people] today.
- You want to be a [Pure Bride].
** So, sometimes we - (not because we don't love)
& housed in the furnace of afflictions and trials - to refine us as gold.
“Only he knows the way I go; and after he has tried me I will come forth as gold.”
(Job 23:10)
* Or, are you in the midst of hardships and difficulties?
- Through this / God will refine me more like gold.
You will make me a cleaner, more holy people of yours.
** Therefore, / even in the midst of suffering - not murmuring and complaining and denial...
& moving forward with expectation, thanks and praise to God
& people of such faith! / I hope you are all right.
2. No matter how corrupt society is, / even if we turn our backs on God...
& if the church is alive... - the society (even if not God's active judgment)
& natural cleansing / may occur.
* By the way, Israel - even the prophets and priests who really shouldn't fall
& corrupted.
- Even in verse 28, // the prophets who should teach the right way with the word of God...
& even seeing the sins of the high officials...
& plausible packaging with false prophecies and visions / praying for blessings
& “God said it would go well” - and // made false prophecies.
** With this... / How can God not judge?
* But / why did the prophets and priests who should not really fall?
Verse 26 - I will read it once.
* Is there a word / that catches your eye?
- The word [distinction]. "Distinction!!"
** Saints must be distinguished.
- Saints must be separated from this world.
- In other words, / you have to be different from this world (without being stained by this world).
* What should be different?
- Above all, [values] must be different.
- The values that those who believe in Jesus pursue / must be different from those of the world.
** Also in today's message / the prophets and priests - the reason why they fell
& rightly, because they too were caught up in worldly values.
- So, because you value material things / and value your honor and success...
& (v. 25) despite being a prophet - robbing riches and treasures /
& (verse 26) despite being a priest
- You have defiled the holy things / and you no longer distinguish between the holy and the profane.
* Dear friends!
- I hope you all become holy saints who are separated from this world today
- What do you value in particular today?
- Oh my God, don't value this earth, / value the eternal, that heaven
& I hope you are like that.
3. Verses 30-31
* Why did God pour out His wrath?
- No one can stop the collapse of the castle.
