Title: The One Who Was Cleaned

Bible Text: Luke 17:11-19
one who has been cleansed
(Luke 17:11-19)
There is a member of the Lakewood Church in the United States named Vanessa, who is a doctor by profession. Since 1995, she has been practicing medicine in Washington DC, and joint pain has come to her. The pain was getting worse and worse to the point where I couldn't stand it. At the age of less than thirty, he was able to walk with a cane. Vanessa's father also suffered from this disease in her early 20s and died at the age of 43. My grandmother also suffered from the same disease and lived with paraplegia. Based on her family's medical history, Vanessa's future is clear.
Vanessa never misses Sunday worship with such a body. It takes 45 minutes to get out of the car and sit in the chapel chairs. Others take 2-3 minutes. After the worship service is over, all the saints have left, and then they go out relying on their staff. It was too harsh. Both my father and my grandmother contracted the disease. But Vanessa did not give up. “I will rise and receive God’s blessing!” He prayed, believed, and proclaimed every day. “I am getting better every day. God is restoring my health. i will live never die.” But after 3 years, nothing has changed. Still, Vanessa did not give up. Nothing could break her faith.
One day, Vanessa's pain suddenly subsided. I was able to move my joints little by little. The next day, I felt lighter. The next day the movement was much smoother. It has been steadily improving for 3 months. Now Vanessa is completely normal. Vanessa broke the line of disease in her family with a decisive attitude. An amazing thing happened to him who sought God's blessing.
There is a book called “You have to break the curse of the family to live”. Some houses inherit curses and disasters from their ancestors. Will you give up on idolatry, alcoholism, gambling, divorce, high blood pressure, diabetes? To change your destiny, you must come to Jesus.
It was a golden opportunity to change their destiny when ten lepers met Jesus. They saw Jesus from afar. They did not resign.
He cried out, “Have mercy on us.”
They were not immediately cleansed when they asked for mercy. You were told to go to the priest and show your body, and you were healed on the way to the priest. It is a grace given to those who believe and obey. When Jesus came near and asked the priest to show himself without touching him or praying, he was asking for faith to obey the Word. Although they were not yet ill, they went to the priest, and that is faith.
“By faith Abraham, when he was called, obeyed and went out to a land that he would receive as an inheritance, and went out, not knowing where he was going… for he was looking for a city that God had designed and built upon him” (Hebrews 11:8-10). ) Abraham left Haran after being promised the land of Canaan as an inheritance when he was 75 years old, but it was given hundreds of years later that the land of Canaan was actually owned by the Israelites.
Faith comes first, grace last. If you obey first, you will be blessed later. First the covenant, then the fulfillment. First the cross, and second the glory.
One of them glorified God.
“One of them, when he saw that he was healed, returned, glorifying God with a loud voice” (verse 15). God healed the leprosy that no one could cure. I cried out in a loud voice that God had healed me. How thrilled and happy would you be? Saying good-bye would apply to a person who has experienced being cured of leprosy. David said, “I will give thanks to the Lord with all my heart, and I will tell of all Your wonders” (Psalm 9:1). Whole heart means to put all your heart, all your character, and all your strength. Not half the heart, but the whole heart.
Giving glory to God is not a vulgar pun with only lips. Saints need a heart to reverence God, and children must have a heart to respect their parents.
The world-famous black singer, Maria Anderson, impressed her listeners with her inspiring vocals. He has received honorary doctorates in 23 countries and has received numerous awards and decorations. When he retired after 40 years of singing, he said, “I was a lowly human being who could only be a slave, but God gave me a particularly good voice, and I became famous. I haven't done anything. We give all honor and glory to God and give praise.”
Man's primary purpose is to glorify God. This is the true life that maintains the original form of creation. If you are led by the Spirit of God, you will glorify God. Let us glorify God through the fear of God. You cannot glorify God without believing in the Word of God. God healed me. The confession that God made me a new person makes me glorify God. May God be glorified forever and ever.
He bowed down at the feet of Jesus and gave thanks.
“He fell at his feet and gave thanks, for he was a Samaritan” (verse 16). To give thanks means to give thanks. Those who have been cleansed are bowing down at Jesus' feet and giving thanks. Jesus was invited to a meal by a Pharisee. A woman from that town came with an alabaster jar filled with perfume, stood at Jesus' feet, wept, and wet His feet with her tears. And he wiped his feet with his hair, kissed them, and anointed them with perfume. The Pharisee who invited Jesus thought to himself. “If Jesus had been a prophet, he would have known that the woman who touched him was a sinner.” Then Jesus said to the man, “One owed a debt of five hundred tenarions, and another owed fifty tenarions, and both were forgiven because they were unable to repay them. But who would be more grateful to the creditors?” Those who have been forgiven a lot are more grateful. A sinner whose many sins are forgiven loves the Lord more.
“I am a Samaritan” The Jews despised the Samaritan. Northern Israel was destroyed by the Assyrians around 722 B.C. Assyrians came to live in that land, and those born through marriage with them were called Samaritans. He is a child of mixed race between a Jew and an Assyrian.
The Jews had contempt and hostility for their failure to preserve the purity of their blood. But only one Samaritan gave thanks to Jesus. He fell down at Jesus' feet and gave thanks. Mary fell down at Jesus' feet and washed Jesus' feet with her hair (John 11:2). They all received greater grace from Jesus than anyone else. One man was cured of leprosy, and another man cast out seven demons. Their thanks to the Lord was so sincere and profound.
Lifestyle is important. All problems in life can be either the worst or the best depending on your attitude. Those who have trained to live a life of affirmation and appreciation of reality in any circumstance are rewarded with tremendous rewards.
Jesus cleansed a leper. To be clean means to be pure and pure, and to be innocent means that there is no disease at all. It is pure and pure. Cleanliness is a sign of guiltlessness. Just as Jesus cleansed the leper, so Jesus cleansed us from our sins. Just as the leper was cleansed, so we are cleansed from sins darker than food and whiter than snow. He made sins like scarlet white as wool.
We have been cleansed. How should we live? We must live to glorify God. We should live in gratitude every day. A leper who has been healed cannot complain that he has no clothes or lack of food. It is right to be grateful even if we live like this, and to be grateful even if we live like this. There is something called a thank you bracelet. If you have complained, change the bracelet. At first, the number of times to move the bracelet was high, but gradually decreased. Rejoice always, give thanks in everything! Let's be grateful and decide to live. This is living according to God's will.
