Title: The Path of Happiness and Unhappiness
Contents
(The Goddess Church Sermon on May 17th Devotional Service)
A. Introduction
1. Comparison between the present life and the afterlife
2. The question of ‘Is wealth a blessing and poverty a curse?’
1) The Bible explains that wealth is God's blessing.
2) The fall of man turned good into evil and blessing into curse.
3) Wealth is a curse if it is mistreated, and poverty is a cause of blessing if it is handled well.
4) Communism, Capitalism, Faithism
(1) communism is to take away the property that other people earn and own and share it evenly among the people so that they can live well together;
(2) Capitalism means that the money earned through hard work is mine, so I can enjoy it and spend it as I please.
(3) However, in religious belief, possessions belong to God.
It's not mine. I have to own a little and use it for society and the kingdom of God.
B. Body
1. God owns the ownership, and He gave humans the right to manage, and in return for management, ‘take what to eat and live’
2. The rich man's fault
1) It belongs to God, but how can it be used for pleasure?
2) Not seeing the eternal world.
3. Beggar Lazarus
4. Lazarus and the Rich Man in the Afterlife
1) Lazarus in Abraham's arms
2) The rich man who is “in torment in hell” (verse 23)
5. Two reasons why the rich were rejected.
1) Didn't you eat well, dress well, play well, and enjoy good things before you died? And you did not believe in God because you believed in them.
2) There is a great pit between Paradise and Hades, Heaven and Hell, and you cannot go or come.
6. What to learn from ‘Lazarus the Beggar and the Rich Man’.
1) First, good or bad luck is determined while you are alive.
2) Second, you must believe before you die.
3) Third, we must evangelize before we die.
C. Conclusion
1. Let's not forget that the world has entered a period of spiritual depression, a period of spiritual depression.
2. Let's imitate the faith of the apostle Paul.
3. Let's choose the way of the cross and the way of eternal life from the two forked paths before us.
