Title: The Peace of God Will Keep

Philippians 4:4-7 The peace of God will keep Theme: 46. Peace. 2008. 3. 30.

Introduction

: The text is the peace of God. Unbelievers do not have the peace of God, they oppose, doubt, deny, curse, oppose.

The steps a believer must take to obtain the peace of God in their heart and life are:

① Be firm (1) ② Have the same heart (2~3) ③ Always rejoice (4) ④ Be generous (5) ⑤ Through prayer (6)

⑥ It comes to us through biblical thinking (7~9).

When a believer loses peace

①He falls into self-consciousness, becomes timid and timid, feels guilty, and falls into frustration and disappointment.

②He is grumpy, accusing, grumbling, complaining and quarreling.

③He falls back into sin.

When a believer loses peace, the peace that is given in the relationship between God and man shakes, and anxiety takes hold of his soul.

* Anxiety leads to sin, frustration, and defeat, and ultimately fails. Therefore, they feel that they are not worthwhile and that they cannot walk proudly with God. This is the emphasis of the text.

* The secret of peace is the peace that God gives.

1. Always rejoice (4)

The best way for believers to be vigilant in the Lord is to rejoice in the Lord without falling apart and guarding themselves when they face the trials and tribulations of life, big and small, and false teachings throughout their lives.

Things to rejoice in: justification, adoption, reconciliation, salvation, love, guidance, care...

One). We must guard ourselves by rejoicing in the Lord. (In order not to be corrupted...)

2). When you rejoice in the Lord, focus on what the Lord is doing for you.

I will not set my heart on the double-mindedness, the countless trials and false teachings of this world.

(Romans 8:35-39, Luke 10:20, John 15:11, Romans 12:15, 2 Corinthians 6:10, Philippians 4:4, 1 Tim 5:16, 1 Pet 4:12-13, .... )

3) The source of joy and pleasure is

① It brings joy and joy to those who believe in the death, resurrection, and ascension of Jesus on the cross.

② It brings joy and joy to those who believe in the greatness of the Father.

* God released the Son from the flesh, from the world, from the devil, and from the oppression of man.

(3) A firm belief inspires joy and joy. (Death, resurrection, ascension, and the giving of the Holy Spirit are real)

2. Know tolerance. (5)

“Tolerance” refers to generosity, self-control, etc. There is benevolent tolerance (Barclay's argument).

One). Be generous and self-controlled when dealing with unbelievers. (5)

What you shouldn't do is criticize, condemn, criticize, downplay, and ignore unbelievers.

(Eph 4:2, Col 3:13, 1 Thessalonians 2:7, ....)

2). The reason for generosity is that the coming of the Lord is near. (5)

The only hope is for the Lord to be generous with us.

* The Lord forgives us only when we forgive them.

(Eph 4:32, Matt 6:12, 14-15, ...)

3. Tell God. (6-7)

“Peace” means to bind together, to unite, to weave together. This means that a person is bound, woven, and united with himself and with God and others.

Peace (Shalom) is maintained through prayer.

One). There are two types of peace.

① The peace of the world is the peace of escape.

* Pleasure, satisfaction, self-sufficiency, absence of troubles, and peace that comes from denying all problems through positive thinking

② The peace of Christ and God is true peace.

* This peace is the inner peace, the peace of conquest (John 16:33), the peace of assurance (Romans 8:28), and the peace that comes from intimacy with God (Philippians 4:6-7).

The source of peace comes only from the reconciliation made by Christ. (Ephesians 2:13-14, Colossians 1:20-21)

The way a person can secure peace is

① Justification (Romans 5:1),

② Love the word of God (John 16:33,),

③Praying (Philippians 4:6-7),

④Have a spiritual heart (Romans 8:6),

⑤ Set your heart on God (Phil 4:8, Isaiah 26:3)

⑥ It is keeping the commandments (Isaiah 48:18, Phil 4:9).

Peace depends on the theme: ① Peace with God (Romans 5:1, Ephesians 2:14-17) ② God’s peace (Luke 7:50, Phil 4:6-7) ③ Peace from God (Romans 5:1, Ephesians 2:14-17) Romans 1:7, 1 Corinthians 1:3).

2). don't worry about anything (6)

“Nothing” means not even one thing.

* Consciousness. * Persecution, ridicule, abuse, intimidation. * Quarrel. Confused, secular, false teaching.

The key to getting rid of anxiety is to accept supernatural powers.

* The supernatural solution is the peace of God. That is, God will destroy it.

(Matthew 6:31-33, Luke 10:41, 12:29, 21:34, Philippians 4:6-7, Hebrews 13:5, 1 Pet 5:7)

3). It is a remedy for anxiety and worry. (6)

In “everything”, prayer, supplication, request, and thanksgiving should be addressed in prayer.

① We must walk (live, move, exist) in God.

② We should pray for everything, no matter how small and insignificant it may seem.

* “Prayer”: You must set aside time to pray for devotion and worship.

* “Supplication”: Teaches prayer that focuses on specific prayers.

* “Ask for”: means specific and clear demands.

* “Gratitude”: It means to give thanks and praise for all things.

Through prayer, He gives us the peace to overcome and endure trials.

(Matthew 7:7, 26:41, Luke 18:1, 21:36, Ephesians 6:18, 1 Thessalonians 5:17)

4). God has promised to give you peace. (7)

People experience the peace of God only when they act and move in prayer.

Only God inspires confidence and security in the human soul.

God's Amazing Promise of Peace

① The peace of God surpasses all understanding. (To pass trials and tribulations.)

② The peace of God guards our hearts and minds.

* We can know the peace of God only when we are in Christ Jesus. (John 14:27, 16:33, .... )
