Title: The Perfect Law That Sets You Free
Contents
There are those who do not receive the light of knowing the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ when they read the Bible. Because he is not denied, the righteousness of the flesh covers the heart. It is the same as the evidence that it is written, "...belief is not everyone's" (2 Thessalonians 3:2).
The veil that covers a person's heart is a person's body that hides the glory of God. It is written, “Therefore, brethren, since we have confidence to enter the sanctuary by the blood of Jesus, by a new and living way that he opened for us through the veil, which is his flesh” (Hebrews 10:19-20). ) is the same as what you said.
The law given through Moses is only a schoolteacher who condemns all people and leads them into captivity as slaves to Christ, so the law of the commandments related to the flesh cannot tear the veil and enter the veil.
This is because within the veil is the Most Holy Place, where sin is never tolerated, the most holy dwelling place of God and a place of eternal rest. Therefore, since you can never enter that rest through the law of schooling, the law given through Moses the servant of God, God has again brought the perfect law that sets you free through Jesus Christ, that is, grace and truth.
The perfect law that sets us free from the bondage of sin is the law of Christ, the law of faith in Christ Jesus. It is written, “Being justified freely by the grace of God through the redemption which is in Christ Jesus, whom God instituted as the propitiation through faith through his blood, for the sins committed before in the forbearance of God. He was trying to show his righteousness by overlooking . . . at this time he was showing his righteousness, so that he himself was righteous, and those who believe in Jesus might justify” (Romans 3:24-26).
This is the complete law, the law of Christ, that sets us free from sin only through the redemption in Christ Jesus. to gain those who do not have” (1 Corinthians 9:21).
This is the law of faith, which is the perfect law of liberty, because “We know that a person is not justified by the works of the law, but by faith in Jesus Christ, so we also believe in Christ Jesus, because we to be justified by believing in . . . by the works of the law no flesh can be justified” (Galatians 2:16). It is the same as the evidence that it is written, "... by what law or by works, but not by the law of faith" (Romans 3:27).
Therefore, regarding the law, the tutor given through Moses, God's servant, and the grace and truth of all grace and truth through the Son of God, the perfect law that sets us free, the Bible says, “The former commandments were abolished because they were weak and useless (the law cannot make anything perfect). And then a better hope arises, through which we draw near to God” (Hebrews 7:18-19).
Therefore, concerning the perfect law that sets us free, “If we have been united with him in his death, we will also be united with him in his resurrection. For we know that our old self was crucified with Jesus as a body of sin. It was destroyed so that we would no longer be slaves to sin, for the dead have been set free from sin and justified” (Romans 6:5-7).
The perfect law is not the law of man's righteousness, but the law of faith that achieves God's righteousness, so the Bible says, "Therefore, my brethren, you were also put to death to the law through the body of Christ, because another To him, that we might bear fruit for God. When we were in the flesh, the sinful lust of the law was at work in our members, making us bear fruit to death; but now we are dead to the entanglement. Therefore, we have departed from the law, so that we should serve with new things of the spirit, not with old things of ceremonies” (Romans 7:4-6).
Therefore, concerning the law of faith, that is, the righteousness of God through the law of Christ, “I testify that they are zealous for God, but not according to knowledge, but do not know the righteousness of God, and strive to establish their own, and submit to the righteousness of God Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes. Moses wrote, “He who does the righteousness that is by the law will live by that righteousness.” But the righteousness by faith says these things, Who in your heart ascends into heaven? When you say, “Do you?” you say, “Will you go up?” means to bring Christ down. “If you say “Who will go down to hell”, “Will you go down?” means to bring Christ up from the dead. It is in your heart, that is, the word of faith we preach. If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. With the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth Confession leads to salvation” (Romans 10:2-10).
Regarding the perfect law that sets us free, the Bible also says, “The love of Christ compels us. We think that if one died for all, then all died. He died for all the living. so that we no longer live for themselves, but for those who died for them and were raised again. Therefore we no longer know anyone according to the flesh, though we also knew Christ according to the flesh, but from now on we will know him this way. No” (2 Corinthians 5:14-16).
Because this is the law of faith, the law of Christ, which he made perfect, he testified, “Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen, which the forefathers have obtained by this” (Hebrews 11:1-2). Let us look to Jesus, the Master and Perfecter, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God” (Hebrews 12:2).
The perfect law of liberty, perfected by Jesus, or the law of Christ, must be followed by conduct. Therefore, it is written in the words of exhortation, “Speak the word of God to you, remember those who led you, and watch the end of their conduct, and imitate their faith” (Hebrews 13:7).
For this reason, “He who is looking into the perfect law of liberty is not the one who hears and forgets, but the one who puts it into practice, and this man will be blessed in what he does” (James 1:25). Do you want to know that faith without works is futile? Was not our father Abraham justified by works when he offered up his son Isaac on the altar? The saying that Abraham believed God, and it was reckoned to him as righteousness, was fulfilled, and he was called the friend of God, so that a man is justified by works, and not by faith alone” (James 2:20-24). that is testifying.
Thus, the grace and truth of God the Father who came through the Son, “This is the covenant I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, and I will put my laws in their hearts and write them in their minds.” “I will remember no more.” Now that these have been forgiven, there is no more offering for sins” (Hebrews 10:16-18). This law that the Lord has spoken and written in our hearts and minds is the law of faith, the perfect law that sets us free, and the law of Christ that will enter the kingdom of heaven.
Since the law of Christ is a law of grace and truth, the Bible is the first of the prophets to believe what was preached as it was testified, “Who has believed what we preached? To whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed?” (Isaiah 53:1) Because it is the faith that receives grace and puts it into the heart, it is the faith that God counts as righteousness. The faith that has the arm of the Lord is the faith that has the truth in mind and works with the arm of the Lord, that is, it is the faith that works through love, so that it is justified by God and leads to salvation. It is the same evidence as it is written, “With the heart one believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made, resulting in salvation.”
“In the gospel, the righteousness of God is revealed, from faith to faith, as it is written, The righteous will live by faith.” (Romans 1:17) Amen, thank you Lord.
