Title: The Perfect Man / Ephesians 4:11-16
There are many things in this world that seem to work but are not. I think one of them is that people come and lose with wisdom. Humans seem to be the wisest, but sometimes so ignorant. It is even more true when you see that you do not have a proper understanding of God's Word even after decades of religious life.
Indian educator [Kayley] said, "There are three kinds of mental sins in modern man." The first is not to learn without knowing. You are mistaken as if you know a lot, but what you really need to learn is that you don't learn. The second is knowing but not teaching. When there is a really precious truth, it should be taught to others, but it is not taught so that more people know it. The third is that you can do it, but don't do it. He doesn't know much, but he doesn't even do what he knows. These three things are called .
However, if you add the concept of time to these three things, the problem becomes more serious. In other words, learning is not always learnable. There is a time when you can learn, and if you miss that time, there is no way to learn. Then the same goes for teaching. There are times when you can teach. If you miss this time, you will not be able to teach. How about doing something else? It's not always something I can do, but I have to do it when I get the chance. But the foolishness of letting go of that opportunity is a sin.
If you think about it, two hearts are always fighting within us.
Two minds always fight, one day this mind wins, and one day the other mind wins. These two hearts will not stop fighting this battle 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, until they go to the grave. Now, which heart will you win?
Among people, there are mature people like ripe fruit, while others are like unripe green fruit. But always underripe is a problem. Unripe green fruits cause stomach upset. As it is, imperfect people create problems. Those who do not have the desire to mature are the problem.
Today's Bible also explains about the immature person. It is said that a typical example of this is falling into temptation. All circumstances are dangerous for him, because he cannot overcome any on his own. Falling into temptation, being pushed by the winds of the world, we fall for everything. It is like a swamp that leads to death without knowing how to get out of it without realizing it.
In the jungles of South America there is a viper called . This snake possesses a terrifying venom, and is large and aggressive, so once bitten it cannot survive for more than 20 minutes, and antidote is useless because the venom spreads throughout the blood. However, this viper has such a beautiful color that it crawls around like the brilliance of a rainbow. This is what happens when you fall into temptation.
[Hermann Hesse] said, "There are three temptations in man." Those three are said to be the wild desires of the flesh (pleasure); He said that without these three fruits, there would be perfect order on this earth. He said that temptation is a terrible disease already sown in the human heart.
Which animal do you pay the most attention to when you go to the zoo? In particular, what kind of animal are you most interested in? According to the head of the animal husbandry of , it is surprising. Oddly enough, the place where women spend the longest in the zoo is Igo. I don't know if it's because the snake that tempted mankind is cursed, or if it's out of a strange desire to fall for a sweet temptation like Eve, or whether it's because he is intoxicated with momentary happiness while projecting his aesthetic vanity into the brilliance of a python adorned with beautiful colors It means staying in a nursery. But how could only a woman stand before the serpent's temptation? All human beings are always exposed to temptation.
Immature people always rationalize themselves before temptation. Therefore, they cannot escape the temptation even more and fall deeply into it. In his heart, there is already a voice that has been entangled to prevent him from breaking free from that temptation.
The first is a whisper of "because everyone does it". There is a magical power in these words that melts me into everyone. If I get caught in this, the self-esteem of the faithful and honest me and the country I have dedicated and loyal to until now will disappear. Now I am immersed in the masses and live. Now he turns his shame into a glory, and a bar as a paradise, staggers and shouts, and turns into a clown who does exactly what everyone does.
The second is a voice saying, "Because it's not a big deal." He whispers that it is not a big deal to break the Sunday. In other words, it's not a big deal, so you don't have to take it seriously or worry about it. However, there is a saying, ?쏦orizonri (驪ラ뇪?껈뇤). It means "a small difference in the beginning becomes a big difference later". It is already too late by the time what you hoped has had great results. No matter how big a fish is, it will be caught by a small bait.
The third voice of the heart that you hear is "because this is only one time". This voice fuels the corruption of conscience, saying, "What are you suffering so much because it's just one lie, and what are you worrying about when you can get everything in just one time?" But you don't know how terrifying this is. It is important to do it once. There is an old saying, "A journey of a thousand miles begins with one step." Trying to accomplish everything at once is not easy. There must be a beginning to have an end. So how important is the first step? It's not meant to be taken lightly that it's a one time thing. A once-in-a-lifetime moment can change your life.
Dear saints!
I hope that your life is a process of striving to become a whole person. So I hope that you will live a life that responds to God's desire to reach the fullness of the stature of Christ's maturity.
