Persecution Begins for Saul Acts 9:23-30
When people receive God's blessing with their fallen nature, the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, self-pride, greed, and a heart dependent on the flesh as they are, they destroy the blessings that God gives them and destroy their own destiny.
That is why God sends suffering before giving blessings.
Many believers [I believed in God, depended on God, prayed, got married, started a family, started a business, and planned a job. come
I died to the point where I could neither advance nor retreat, so why does God treat me like this]?
When God gives temptation, he first removes the remnants of our fallen personality in order to give us greater blessings and to enjoy them forever. What kind of construction equipment have you seen building a building first without even laying the foundation? Have you ever seen a road construction device clear the road right away without digging up the ground? In this way, we need to know that God first brings about personal changes before entrusting us with His work and giving us great blessings.
Dear saints,
Saul began to change after meeting Jesus. And after the change, the message changed.
Immediately they entered the synagogue and began to proclaim that Jesus was the Son of God and the Christ.
Not long ago, Saul was a prisoner and imprisoner of those who believed in Jesus. He was a persecutor of those who said that Jesus was the Son of God.
Such Saul is saying that Jesus is the Son of God.
All of this is shocking and surprising. This event of change is proof that Jesus intervened in Saul's life.
Dear saints,
I hope that Jesus will intervene in your life as well. When Jesus intervenes, it brings change and new history.
When Jesus intervenes, a new life begins. The Family Involved in Jesus Brings New Changes
In the church where Jesus is intervened and the church where Jesus is the master, amazing things happen and changes take place, but the building is the only church, Jesus is not, and the work of the Holy Spirit does not occur in the church where Jesus is the owner.
When Saul's changes began to affect them, the Jews tried to kill him.
Look at verse 23.
Saul met Jesus and received the Holy Spirit, and when he met Ananias, whom God had prepared, he was seized.
When the news that they are preaching Jesus begins to spread, persecution begins on Saul.
Wherever you go, you meet persecutors. Your position will change.
Actually, there is no record in the book of Acts, but there is an incident that happened before we met these persecutors. Look at Galatians 1:16-17. After believing in Jesus, Saul first went to Arabia, Galatians records.
And when they returned to Damascus, they were persecuted.
In verses 16-17, Saul made two decisions. (1) He did not consult with flesh and blood, (2) went to Damascus without going to Jerusalem to meet the apostles.
(1) We may be misunderstood if we say that we do not discuss with blood. But he had an amazing experience,
After such a traumatic experience, I wanted to meditate on myself.
He wanted to reaffirm, organize, meditate on, and have a one-on-one consultation with the Holy Spirit with himself on this incident of Jesus' involvement in his life.
Dear saints,
Generally, when we receive grace, we try to do something right away, but we fail.
That's a very dangerous action. More important than work or ministry is the person's faith personality.
In other words, you must have the personality of a believer in Jesus and then do God's work. is to be human. In the case of Saul, two things are certain, (1).
(2) Received the calling and received training worthy of that calling.
When we are about to receive grace and do God's work, there are times when God blocks the way.
I say I should do it, but there are times when it prevents me. The road may not open
It is God's signature. It is God's sign to wait more, get more training, and prepare more.
