Title: The Person God Blesses
Zechariah (28) A person whom God blesses (Zechariah 9:9-10)
1. pure person
The text is a famous passage that prophesied that the Messiah would ride a donkey, and it was actually fulfilled. If you look at the scene where the Lord rides a donkey that has never ridden a human, you can see where God's blessing is going. Never lose your amateurism when working for the Lord. This is not to say that amateurs are better, but rather that you should not pretend to be a professional before Almighty God, but be sincere and pure.
2. A humble person
The reason the Lord rode on the colt was because he was humble (verse 9). So I rejoice that the Lord rides on the back of the humble. When the Lord rides on your back, the blessings will automatically follow. Sometimes I see people who have succeeded, but there are people who have failed. A person who falls into the illusion of “I did well” after success. When a young donkey enters the city of Jerusalem, when he sees the cheering crowd and thinks that he is great, how much of a mistake is it? When Jesus gets off his back, who will help the young donkey?
You must always be humble to receive God's constant grace and use. Even when there seems to be no need for prayer and everything is going smoothly, I confess, “I still need God,” and receive continuous blessings from God when we work harder in prayer than when we have problems. If we lose our humility, we will be rejected, so the most spiritually careful time is when we receive glory and praise from people. Even if you do great things and occupy a big place, you will be used by the Lord until the end when you lose your humility.
3. The peace seeker
The Lord has come to preach peace (verse 10). That is why he uses those who seek peace. If you pursue peace, you will lose all of your material realm, and you will earn money, buy land, and succeed if you live together with your head in the market, but the greatest secret to materially success is ‘pursuing peace’. Why are there so many disciples of Jesus in the world now? Not because he conquered the world with a sword, but because the Lord came as the Prince of Peace.
The Lord spoke of the third blessing of the Sermon on the Mount. “Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth.” Meekness is the secret to expanding your horizons. He also spoke of the 7th blessing as follows. “Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called sons of God.” The blessings given to God's children will abound only when we become a person of peace. Seek peace with many as a basis for material blessings as well. It is a false dream to ignore peace and acquire land as an inheritance.
4. A dedicated person
Just as a donkey is used to carry the Lord on its back, so when you carry the Lord on your back, you experience the Lord's helping hand behind your back. There is no blessing without dedication. No matter how hard things are, don't let go of the Lord or the Lord's mission you are carrying on your back. If you make a dedication, the Lord will always remember that dedication and reward you with the best possible reward. Also, when you dedicate yourself, you gain love and happiness, and then you gain a strong vitality.
Once in the Himalayas, ten climbers were in distress, and only four of them were alive when rescue teams arrived. Of the six who died, five were single, one was married, and all four who were alive were married. The thought of the family, the object of love and devotion, did not quench the will to live, and eventually made them live. In love and sacrifice, the soul becomes richer and stronger, but when it cares about worldly values, it becomes weaker. The more you love, the richer you become, and the less you love, the poorer you become.
