Title: The power of believers comes from worship
Where does the strength of the believer come from? What are the spiritual and practical differences that reveal the decisive difference between believers and non-believers? What we can say unequivocally about this question is <worship>. From the Old Testament era to the New Testament era, and through the history of the church after that, it was God's work through <worship> that individuals and communities gained new strength, received power, and received amazing blessings. The upper room of Abraham, Isaiah, Ezekiel, and Mark is proof of that.
The four missions of the church are Kerygma, Koinona, Didache, and Diakonia, that is, it is <worship> that activates and gives life to the precious mission that makes the church a church, such as preaching the gospel, fellowship of saints, education, and service. Today's text clearly reveals what the essence of <worship> is.
2. What is worship in the text?
First, worship is the worship of the living God. God said that you should not make an idol or any symbol out of gold, silver, stone, or wood that cannot speak and cannot move, and you should not compare it to God. Worship is the service of the living God who is spirit, love, and power.
Second, worship is to build a foundation and offer a precious sacrifice. Worship is essentially devotion. In other words, it is to give in spirit and truth. You must give with all your might, with all your heart, with all your life, and with a heart that loves God.
Third, worship cannot be offered on an altar made of hewn stones. What does it mean? It is not to pretend to be what it is, not formally, but to present oneself without deceit. If you peck at it, you deny it. What does it mean? This is because there is a risk of losing the essence of why you peck a stone while pecking it. This is the case if the choir practice is delayed and the worship service cannot be held on time, or if the worship service is behind the scenes and the event is the focus.
3. Where did you say that worship is held in the text?
If you look at the text, he said, “Anything that commemorates my name”. Where is God's name commemorated here? Of course, it is also a place where two or three people gather to worship in the name of the Lord. However, the meaning of this text is earthen in the patriarchal era, the tabernacle in the Exodus era, the Jerusalem temple in the kingdom era, and the church's temple after the New Testament era. It is a holy place where believers called in the name of the Lord gather and worship God.
4. What blessings do those who worship like this receive?
First, we receive the blessing of meeting God. Through worship, believers experience wonderful spiritual joy that is different from the joy of the world. I know that all believers have tasted the amazing inner peace and reassurance that they have received after offering deep and spiritual worship. Hymn 499, that divine song <The Lord walked with me and made me a friend, no one knows the joy we have received with each other! >The blessing of that joy.
Second, I am blessed with the forgiveness of all my existential and existential sins. Through worship, God forgives all my transgressions, shameful errors, and hidden sins, just as a father has compassion on his children. We are blessed to be free from the guilt and anxiety of all our sins. What do you do when you sin against your physical father? How happy are you when you confess your mistakes and sins and have them forgiven? You will receive a greater blessing of forgiveness than that. It assures you that you have been forgiven. What greater blessing is there than this? This is salvation. Through worship, we receive forgiveness through the blood of the cross.
Third, I receive the blessing of giving meaning to my life. Life is futile. In retrospect, there is nothing new under the sun and everything is meaningless. It may seem meaningful and rewarding for a while, but after a while, all that seemed great is nothing. But through worship, God gives deep inspiration and inner insight into all the meaningless things, so he gives them the blessing of making them meaningful and rewarding. That is, as Isaiah 58:11 says, “I, the LORD, will bring you, satiate your soul in dry places, and strengthen your bones; you will be like a watered garden, like a spring that never fails”. give it Would you like to compare this good fortune to those five good fortunes?
5. Closing Story /
Therefore, < The power of believers comes from worship! > said. When worship dies, my soul dies. No time to stare at others. Please take a quick look into your own soul to see if my soul is alive or dying. Worship is what I offer, and no one else can offer it for me. Wake up! Please wake up before it's too late to worship with all your heart, mind, and soul.
Please firmly believe in the truth that the power of true believers comes only from worship!
