Title: The Power of Intercession (1 Peter 5:10)
Contents
The spiritual level of the believer is the same as the level of the person's prayer life. If the level of prayer is high and deep, the spiritual level is also high and deep. If the level of prayer is low and shallow, it can only be low and shallow with that spiritual level. You can never go beyond that level of prayer. And the spiritual level of the saints is the level of thinking of others. The level of serving others is the spiritual level of the saints. Those who know only themselves, are self-centered and selfish, have only that spiritual level.
But what is the most spiritual thing to do for others? It is kneeling and praying for that soul. In this way, praying for someone other than myself is called intercessory prayer.
In our church, various clubs are active. There are Bible transcription, discipleship, evangelism, pilgrimage, mountain climbing, English Bible reading, intercession prayer team, etc. I hope that our members will join at least one club and have good fellowship. And I hope that more clubs will be formed.
In particular, the Intercession Prayer Meeting ended last week, and the Intercessory Prayer Training School starts on the third night of this week. Three Nights Prayer begins one hour before the start of the meeting. Those of you who have already joined the Intercession Prayer Team are encouraged to attend, and if you are interested or want to participate in the training, please do so.
Intercessory prayer is praying while feeling Heavenly Father's heart. We pray while feeling the compassion of our Lord Jesus Christ. It is praying with the heart of the Holy Spirit groaning and praying for us. Intercessory prayer to pray for others is to pray while feeling the pain of others as your own. Therefore, it is a phenomenon of mature faith and a high level of prayer. It also becomes a channel through which we can receive the power of God. It is also a prayer that allows me to enjoy blessings by praying for others. Therefore, a church with many intercessors can become a mature church.
Intercession prayer requires a more earnest and intensive prayer posture than prayer for oneself or for oneself. "O Lord of heaven, I lift up my eyes to You. As the eyes of a servant wind on the hand of his master, and the eye of a maidservant on the hand of his mother-in-law, our eyes wait for the Lord our God, waiting for mercy on us. It is” (Psalm 123:1-2). Not sweating and not working hard. You must be humble. It should be hot. You have to focus. You must know your mission and do the work.
1. Intercession has “perfecting power.”
“He made you whole”. The word “make perfect” here literally means “to cast nets”. It is as if “to cast a torn net again.” It means repairing or connecting things to make something without blemishes, or correcting imperfections. Tilting the torn net allows you to catch fish again. This is God It means you are ready to do your job.
Intercession will make the imperfect perfect. Pray for those who are not in perfect health. Your health will be perfect. Pray for an imperfect soul. You will become a whole soul. Please pray for the souls who lack wisdom. God, who gives generously without reproach, will give you complete wisdom. Pray for those who are not humble. You will be humble. Pray for the unanointed servants. They will be anointed servants of the good news.
Don't beat the incomplete. Pray for the imperfect. If you pray, God will make you perfect.
2. Intercession has “strengthening power.”
In today's text, it is said, "He strengthened". This means "to make firm, to make certain." Life has a tendency to be discouraged. He has a temperamental and indecisive nature. The waves of the world come and give us tests, and we are easily drawn into the temptations of sin. It is intercession that can strengthen these human attributes. Intercession strengthens such people. It confirms your faith. Make your mission clear. Make your vocation clear. Makes the gift sure.
Satan cannot overthrow the soul of a person who has intercession. Because behind the person who does not fall, there is an intercessor for him. Therefore, we must intercede for new believers. We must pray for those who are discouraged.
3. Intercession has a “strengthening power.”
The word “strengthen” means “to invigorate.” God must energize the inner man to be strong. For those who have weakness and suffering, we need to give strength to the knee of prayer so that they can become strong, and we must intercede and pray.
Intercession is uplifting and ready to work. Lets start something. It gives you the courage to do great things. It inspires you to embark on glorious work. Therefore, intercession is necessary.
4. Intercession has the power to “firm the ground” of them.
Even though they have been made whole, firm, and strong, they still have the potential to be shaken. To solidify means to "unshak." It should be firm and not wobble. Intercession strengthens the foundation of a soul's life without being shaken. make it solid. When you intercede for someone, your soul will not be shaken and the foundation of your life will be strong and strong. Intercession strengthens the foundation of the family. It strengthens the foundation of the church. It has the ability to solidify the foundation of the nation and nation. It strengthens the foundations of the nations.
Above all else, a church where intercession is alive will bring stability and revival. Therefore, intercession must be alive. Intercession is a spiritual way to catch two rabbits at once. It is because I have a history of building up others and building up others by praying for others. Because that's how you get blessed.
