Old Testament
5. And Moses and Aaron fell on their faces before all the congregation of the children of Israel.
6. Joshua son of Nun and Caleb son of Jephunneh, among those who spies out the land, tore their clothes.
7. And he spoke to all the congregation of the children of Israel, saying, The land that we went through to spy out is an exceedingly beautiful land.
8. If the LORD is pleased with us, he will bring us into that land and give it to us, a land flowing with milk and honey.
9. But do not rebel against the LORD, nor be afraid of the people of the land, for they are our food; their guardian has departed from them, and the LORD is with us. Do not fear them.
10. And the whole congregation was about to stone them, then the glory of the LORD appeared to all the children of Israel in the tent of meeting.
new testament
12. Beware, brethren, lest any of you have an evil heart in unbelief and fall from the living God.
13. But admonish one another daily, while it is called Today, that none of you be hardened by the deceitfulness of sin.
14. If we hold fast to the end what we were convinced of at the beginning, we will become partakers of Christ.
15. For it is said in the scriptures, If you hear his voice today, do not harden your hearts as they caused wrath.
16. Who was it that provoked anger when he heard it, not all those who followed Moses out of Egypt?
17. And with whom was God angry for forty years, and not with those who sinned, whose bodies fell in the wilderness?
18. And to whom did God swear, that he would not enter into his rest, not to those who did not obey?
19. Judging from this, they could not enter because they did not believe.

Leaders should always be positive. Because there is nothing impossible with God. Joshua and Caleb became positive people because they believed in God. Nothing is impossible for those who believe. However, if there is a wound in the heart or an unresolved bitter root, it is easy to become negative. Only God can touch our wounds and remove the root of bitterness. Believing in God makes us positive people. What abilities will we have if we become positive?
1. To have the ability to see the good. To the two spies, the land seemed “extremely beautiful” (v. 7). Everything in the world has a good and a bad side. However, those who only see the bad side cannot achieve anything because they see it as difficult, difficult, or impossible. But those who can see the good will accept the problem and work through it to get things done.
2. You will gain the ability to believe in a good God. To the two spies, God was a good God. “The Lord will give us...” (v. 8). The affirmation of faith makes us believe that God is good. We have to believe that God is a good one who helps us, makes us prosper, and gives us victory.
3. Fear goes away and you gain courage. The two spies said, “Do not be afraid of them” (verse 9). When a person falls into fear, he retreats without even fighting properly. But the affirmation of faith makes us fearless. Believing in Almighty God gives you courage.
Wouldn't it be difficult to think critically if you only look at things in a positive way? Often critics think they're smart, but they don't know how to discourage others and destroy communities with their negative words. The reason he can't be a leader is because he doesn't know how to use the good in others and build a community. People of positive faith tolerate people's weaknesses not because they can't criticize, but because they love God and people. Also, because we believe in the power of God who is good, we are confident of the final victory and building up courageously. Therefore, God chooses people of affirmative faith as leaders.
