the power of prayer

(Acts 12:1-10)

Believers have prayer (...) Prayer is the lifeline. All Christians receive spiritual nourishment through the lifeline of prayer.(...) Prayer is like a radio that connects God and me.(...) Prayer is like a radio in spiritual warfare (Ephesians 6:18). (...) Prayer is a channel of blessing.(...) God's blessings are passed on to children through prayer.(...)

The Lord teaches us to pray and sets the example. He prayed at dawn and prayed in a quiet and secluded place. When we look at the time of prayer, it is summarized into three things. First, he prayed before important events.(...) Second, the Lord prayed when he was in trouble.(...) Third, he prayed when the name of Jesus was widely known and his honor was raised. (John 6:15) ; Luke 5:12)(...)

Prayer determines a person's faith.(...) To believe in God is to believe that there is a God and to always have a conversation with Him.(...) Faith without prayer is fake.(.. .) Success in prayer life is success in faith and success in life. (...) God has given us a key to open a firmly closed door. That is prayer.(...) When Moses prayed to God, he opened the Red Sea, and when Sarah prayed, he opened the womb of a 90-year-old woman to give birth to Isaac. When Jacob prayed, Esau's anger was relieved, when Joshua prayed, Jericho fell, and when Elijah prayed, the gates of heaven that had been closed for three years were opened and it started to rain. How does the power of prayer come... In today's text, there is a sentence with three meanings, and it is the phrase, “The church earnestly prayed to God for him (verse 5)”.

① There is power when the whole church prays.

God empowers prayer through the church.(...) The church's prayers should be for each other.(...) Our prayers must be broadened.(...)

② There is power in earnest prayer.

earnest prayer is deep prayer.(...) Our Christianity is not a religion that memorizes incantations.(...) earnest prayer is continuous prayer.(...) God does not measure the amount of prayer. He weighs the weight of prayer.(...) earnest prayer goes beyond reason and unbelief.(...) Even if I can't do it, God does it. An earnest prayer is a prayer that overcomes the self.(...) It is to align one's will with the will of God.(...)

③ There is power when we pray to God.

There are prayers in other religions as well. (...) But we pray to the omniscient, omnipotent Creator God. Amen.
