Title: The Power of the Precious Blood
Contents
Bible Text: Exodus 12:13. Hebrews 10:19-22
blood power
The power of blood is vitality. Blood is directly related to life in relation to the human heart. The Bible says that the life of the flesh is in the blood (Leviticus 17:11). Blood is the foundation of life. Life ends when blood is spilled. The saying, “Let your blood be on your head” (2 Samuel 1:16) means that the sin of killing a person must be compensated for with his own death. The Bible speaks of blood as life and death. Where there is blood there is life, and without blood there is death.
The power of the precious blood refers to the blood of the sheep in the Old Testament and the blood of Jesus on the cross in the New Testament. The blood of the sheep was sprinkled on the threshold and doorposts to protect life by avoiding death, and the blood of Jesus flowed down on the cross and became the power to give salvation to all who believe. Blood is life. It is considered the soul itself. Life and soul lurk in the blood. Christianity is a blood religion. There is no Christianity without blood. You cannot be a true Christian without the blood of Christ.
It is the power of atonement.
“...I have given you this blood to make atonement for your lives by sprinkling it on the altar; for the life is in the blood, the blood makes atonement” (Leviticus 17:11). Meaning. There is a saying that you cover the sky with your palm. With what will you cover your sins? Sin is not covered It means that sin cannot be covered. Symbolically, it means that the sin itself remains but covers the sin and makes it invisible. The reason God's wrath does not come is because sin is hidden from view. “...Love covers all transgression” (Proverbs 12:10). The blood of Jesus hides the sinner. When Rebekah met Isaac, she covered her face with a veil (Genesis 24:65). Old Testament women covered their faces as we see in the Arab world today. It is invisible when covered or covered. The blood is the power to cover and cover sins and make them invisible.
The ability to defeat disaster.
“The blood will be a sign for you in the houses where you live when I strike the king of Egypt. When I see the blood, I will pass over you, and no calamity will come upon you and destroy you” (Exodus 12:13). It means “to pass”. The Passover began with a strange command from God. They were to slaughter a lamb and put its blood on the doorposts and thresholds. In the houses of the Egyptians without blood, all the firstborn died.
There is a tradition of eating red bean porridge on winter solstice. Then, sprinkle red bean porridge on the door and draw a cross with a knife. Red bean porridge is red in color. It is the color that demons fear to drive away demons. The messenger of death who saw the blood of the sheep did not enter the house.
Rahab, a prostitute from Jericho, hid the two spies sent by Joshua when they entered her house and said, “I know that the Lord has given you this land. Take an oath to deliver our lives from death, and make a true mark” (Joshua 2:9, 13). The two spies promised, "If we do not divulge our affairs, we will even use our lives for you, and we will treat you with kindness and truth when the Lord gives us this land." A red line was hung on the window to mark it down to protect the house. Rahab and her father's family were all protected (Joshua 6:25). The red line was the sign that it was Rahab's house, and the blood of the sheep was the sign that it was the people of Israel. The sign shown in blood prevented the disaster.
The ability to enter the sanctuary.
“Therefore, brethren, since we have confidence to enter the sanctuary by the blood of Jesus, by a new and living way he has opened for us through the veil, which is his flesh. There is also a great priest who rules over the house of God, and we have been sown in our hearts to be freed from evil food, and our bodies have been washed with pure water. Let us come to God with a true heart and complete faith” (Hebrews 10:19-22).
Jesus said that I am the way, no one comes to the Father except through me. Jesus shed His blood to make a way to God. The road is blood. Through the sacrifice of Jesus' blood, we gained the courage to enter the sanctuary. Courage is a gift from God and the power of blood. When there is blood in the mind, when there is blood in the heart, courage comes out.
“Who is able to bring charges against God's elect? It is God who justifies; who can condemn...” (Romans 8:33) Let us come boldly before God through the blood of the blood.
It is the power of redemption.
“Know that you were not redeemed with perishable things like silver or gold, but with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot” (1 Peter 1:18-) 19)
Redemption means ‘to release’ or ‘to rescue’. It refers to the act of paying a price to recover lost rights. It is not just a matter of making those sold into slavery free. You have to pay a hefty price for it. The precious blood of Jesus was the price of redemption.
A huge price was paid to bring the abductees to Afghanistan. I don't know how much they gave, but they asked for 20 million dollars, 20 billion in our money.
The redemption we have received comes at the price of the blood of Christ. Christ gave and gave His body to set us free. The saints are honored not because of ourselves, but because of Jesus who paid to redeem us.
The blood of His Only Begotten Son changed us from a slave to sin to a holy people. I hope you will live the world proudly as a valuable being with self-esteem.
It is the power to wash away sins.
“...the blood of his Son Jesus shall cleanse us from all sin” (1 John 1:7). David said, “Wash thoroughly from my iniquities and cleanse me from my sins” (Psalm 51:2). I prayed that all my sins would be blotted out. ‘Smear’ means ‘to wipe off’ or ‘to remove’.
In Numbers, it is said that anyone who touches a corpse should wash it with lye and it will be clean (Numbers 19:11-12). The blood of Jesus is the soap that washes away sins.
“Come, and let us reason together, saith the Lord, though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red as crimson, they shall be like wool” (Isaiah 1:18).
Vermilion is a paint made from the eggs of insects that live in oak trees in the Middle East, and it is a color that is not easily erased when dyed. Crimson is a deep red color and is a symbol of sin. The blood of Christ washed away sins as scarlet as white, and sins as red as scarlet as wool.
“In that day a fountain of washing away from sin and defilement will be opened for the house of David and for the inhabitants of Jerusalem” (Zechariah 13:1). . The blood of the Lord cleanses us from sins that cannot be washed away with lye.
It is the power to forgive sins.
“According to the law almost all things are purified with blood, and without the shedding of blood there is no remission” (Hebrews 9:22). Forgiveness lies in the blood of Jesus' life, not his teaching or resurrection. This judgment of innocence is not because of sin, but because of the shedding of the blood of Christ. Because the blood of Christ cleanses us, we are acquitted. When Jesus was having the Last Supper with his disciples, he gave them a cup and said: “This is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins” (Matthew 26:28).
Abel's blood appealed to God. The Lord said to Cain, "The sound of your brother's blood cries out to me from the ground" (Genesis 4:9-10). He was innocent, but he killed him. Blood appealed to God. The blood of Jesus, who died without sin, appeals to God. It is the plea of the blood that God forgives our sins.
It is the ability to make peace.
“He took pleasure in reconciling all things to himself through him, things on earth and things in heaven, having made peace with the blood of his cross” (Colossians 1:20). The blood of Christ is the power of peace. The blood of the Lord is reconciled to God and brings blessing. “Be reconciled to God, and be at peace, and blessings will come to you” (Job 22:21). Reconciliation with God and the blessings received fulfills the office of reconciliation with our neighbors. “Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called sons of God” (Matthew 5:9).
Those who have been forgiven by the blood of the Lord must make peace with that blood. The blood of Christ reconciles us to God and brings us blessings. “When we were enemies, we were reconciled to God through the death of his Son... (Romans 5:10)
I'm going to be angry, so let's make a review. ‘Wow!’ ‘Pyeong!’ “Hallelujah!”
I pray that you will enjoy peace through the power of the blood, glorify God, and live a blessed world.
