Title: The Power to Overcome the World
“For everyone who is born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, our faith. Who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?”
In 1 Samuel 17, the Philistines invaded Israel and fought to wage war. In that Philistine army, there was a general named Goliath who was very tall and had great strength and was very good in martial arts. When the Israelites saw it, they were all terrified, and no one wanted to fight him. But at that time, David, who came to bring food to his brothers on an errand for his father, saw the scene, prepared 5 slingshots, went ahead and defeated Goliath, and won the war.
War must be won. Because, like Goliath, the loser either dies or lives, but becomes the servant of the overcomer. For whoever loses a battle is put to shame, but whoever wins has glory, a crown, a prize, and freedom. The pendulum loses everything. Conversely, if you win a war, you get everything. war must be won
God is the God who gives us victory. This also means that God, our Father, wants us as children to win the battle and glorify “Heavenly Father”. There is a saying that "to lose is to win", but the truth is that once you know, you have to win more important things. The world is a battlefield. Life fights death, truth fights lies, love fights hate, hope fights despair, faith fights unbelief, humility fights pride. In this world, believers must win the good fight of faith. For there is eternal joy and glory in victory, but only misery and destruction in defeat.
"Jehovah Nissi" God has given us Jesus Christ to overcome. We gain the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Jesus is our flag (Isaiah 11:10). Just as a player should follow the coach well, the soldier only needs to look at the commander and follow it well. Relying on the power of Jesus, the captain of victory, who says, “In this world you will have tribulation, but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world” (John 16:33), and move forward in the name of Jesus. He who believes in victory wins. If you have a strong and unwavering faith in victory and put more effort into the work of the Lord, you will overcome according to your faith.

There is a battle that God's children must fight and win. That is sin, the devil, and myself. And all these things in the text are said to be the world.
Why do we have to fight and win the world? As the saying goes, "Whoever the pendulum becomes the servant of the one who overcomes" (2 Peter 2:19), only when he wins the battle against this world he can not become a slave to the enemy the devil again, and can glorify God who has saved us. because there is
So who and how can conquer the world? It is said that those who are born of God, that is, those who believe that Jesus is the Son of God and that we are His children of the cross, can overcome the world. That is, our faith is the victory that overcomes the world. That's right. To overcome the world, you must have greater power than the world. Not in my own strength. If you rely only on your own strength, you will lose. Bigger than the world, conquering the world
Power must depend on the power of the Savior Jesus, who created the world and overcame the world again on the cross to save us when it fell. It is faith that brings the power of the Lord to me, or the spiritual hand that holds the power of the Lord that He gives. Through this faith, God allows us to overcome the world.
