Whether in the past or today, the most important thing for a person to live is ability. This can be translated into real power in the political arena, financial power in the economic world, and spiritual power in Christianity.
A farmer's skill is to reap a lot of produce.
It is the skill of a business person to make a lot of profit.
A doctor's skill is to heal the sick.
Today's text begins with the meeting between the Father and Jesus, who came to Jesus to solve the son's problem. Jesus, who showed himself transformed on a high mountain with Peter, James, and John, came down to the town with his disciples in ecstasy. coming to you “Jesus, please heal me. I asked the disciples to heal them, but they were unable to cast out the demon and could not heal”. The Lord says “O unbelieving generation … Bring him.” He healed him.
Ⅰ. What is your skill?
1. Faith is your skill.
2. Prayer is your skill.
Verse 29 says, “This kind does not go out except through prayer.” Since spiritual problems are matters of prayer, we must pray. However, we must be wary of “prayer omnipotence,” which says that we do nothing but pray.
Ⅱ.Then, what is the life style of a talented person?
1. Make prayer a daily life.
In the case of Jesus, in fact, he is the Creator and Savior, so you do not need to pray. However, the Lord fasted for 40 days in the wilderness, prayed all night, and prayed at dawn. But do we pray as much as Jesus does? .Even if you work in a church, people who work a lot should talk a lot, but strangely, I see the opposite. In summary, I hope that you will fall down and pray so that you will become a saint who is competent in prayer, and that you will become a competent Bible teacher by reading and rereading the Bible.
2. Be bold.
If you have the skills, you have no fear and have confidence. In verse 23, “If it is possible, what do you mean? Nothing is impossible with those who believe.” Jesus was really talented. In Mark 1, it is recorded that Jesus did not have the same spiritual ability as the scribes.
3. I live for others.
In today's hyper-competitive society, we see cases where people lose their health and sometimes even go insane due to stress. But most of these diseases come from living only for yourself. We want to become competent Christians and take the lead in healing, building up, and saving lives.

We must have the ability, strength, and ability to survive in the world. But more important than that is spiritual ability. These are the power of the Word, the power of prayer, and the power of faith. This power is the power of God that can resist even the evil devil. Even in the face of Goliath, who was 2m and 90cm tall, David, a strong man of faith, never hesitates.
