Title: The Power to Save Everything
The Gospel of John (55) The power to save all things (8:1-11)
< Examine yourself >
Jesus said to the crowd condemning the adulterous woman, “He that is without sin among you, let him first throw a stone at him!” (verse 7). Before you look at the speck in another's eye, look at the log in your own eye, and before you speak of another's sin, examine your own. People are usually very resentful at the sins and errors of others and do not want to see their own faults, but those who can see their own faults as much as they see others' faults experience the power of God's forgiveness.
Don't criticize easily. How shameful would you be if you judged others as if you knew them well, even though you didn't know them well? There are many strengths that each person is not aware of. To parents, children always seem to be lacking, but there are many strengths that parents do not know about their children. Don't worry too much about your child's future. If you pray consistently, your child will grow much better than you think.
My first daughter, Eun-hye, is so terrified that I feel sorry for her, “How does that child live in this harsh world?” But only when it comes to rides is bold. You can also open your eyes and ride the terrifying rides that descend in a vertical descent from a few dozen meters in an instant. Seeing that, he said, “People really don’t know! I think I can live in such a harsh world like that!” Everyone has shortcomings, but there are also things they are good at. So, don't judge others or make judgments.
One day in America, I asked 100 chaebols, “Why did you become a chaebol? What do you think is the key to success?” he asked. At that time, the most common answer was, “I only look at the good points in a relationship and say it!” A person who makes others happy by giving a lot of compliments and saying a lot of savory things is also successful in business. Always look at the strengths of others over their faults. This will increase your ability to forgive and increase your chances of success.
< The power to save everything >
In the text, a woman could be renewed when everyone left and she met the Lord alone (verse 9). At that time, Jewish rabbis did not speak in public with other women, not even their daughters or wives. There were many rabbis who closed their eyes when they saw a woman and fell by bumping into a stone beak. In such a culture, conversations with an adulterous woman could cause countless misunderstandings and criticism, but Jesus did not avoid it. Ultimately, through a deep meeting and conversation with the Lord, that woman can be renewed.
No matter how great a sinner, when he meets the Lord deeply, he becomes new. Because you learn and feel love. Love is the way to solve problems. The most amazing medicine in the world is the medicine of love and forgiveness obtained from meeting with the Lord. What we need above all else is love. People today criticize people for even the slightest mistake, but criticism does not change people. If you criticize, darkness will continue, but if you love, a new world of blessing will soon unfold. Knowledge without love is ignorance. Love is the power that saves everything.
One day, while the family was going to play, a car accident occurred, and the 7-year-old son was seriously injured. I urgently needed blood during emergency surgery, but my daughter had the same blood type as my son. The desperate father said to his daughter. “Son, I need blood urgently, can you give me some of yours?” My 5-year-old daughter shed tears and nodded her head immediately. The operation was successful. After the operation, the father told his daughter lying in bed. "Hey! Thanks to you, my brother survived.” Then the little daughter nodded and spoke quietly. “But Dad! When will I die?”
The young daughter gave blood to her brother, knowing that she would die if she drew blood. I lacked knowledge, but there was love. It is ultimately love, not knowledge, that saves people and solves problems. Some believers think that if they draw blood, they will die, and they think, “It is difficult for me to live, so how do I do missionary work and almsgiving?” Still, there are people who empty their pockets with the feeling of drawing their own blood. That is love. If you empty something precious for something precious, God will fill the present and future with something bigger and more precious.
