Title: The Prayer's Posture / Luke 11:5-13

Contents

“I tell you, even though he will not rise up to give because of friendship,

I will rise up for you and give you whatever you need” (Luke 11:8).

One day, while Jesus was praying in a certain place, when he had finished praying, a disciple asked Jesus

"Lord! John the Baptist was teaching his disciples how to pray, and John the Baptist prayed

Teach us how to do it as you taught us how to do it.” “You pray like this

Do it." What you taught me is the Lord's Prayer.

If the Lord's Prayer taught us how to pray, today's Word is the Lord's Prayer.

Based on the door, what should be the "prayer's posture" is divided into three parts through the text.

I will share with you.

① First, in verses 5-9, it is said that the attitude of the praying person should be the attitude of supplication,

② Second, in verses 9-12, it says that the person who prays should pray with an attitude of trust,

③ Third, in verse 13, God, who receives our prayers, gives us the best.

Let me tell you about who I am.

I. First, the attitude of the person who prays should be the attitude of supplication.

In Palestine, daytime temperatures fluctuate up to 40°C, so travelers often enjoy the midday sun

I traveled late in the evening to avoid it. This traveler in the story of Jesus is also near midnight.

On the way, Raya arrived at her friend's house.

In the ancient East, it was a breeze to use energy to treat guests when they came even when they were in need.

and considered it sacred.

But a friend who came to visit me in the middle of the night was exhausted from the trip and very hungry. but in the house

did not even have leftover bread after dinner. There was no bread to give to a friend. so

I hurriedly went to my neighbor's friend's house, knocked on the door, and asked for three loaves of bread.

The house in this story of Jesus was not a rich house, but a poor house. palais

Many of Steen's poor families had single rooms with only one small window. the floor goes dry

It is made by simply compacting it with soil, covered with bamboo and chives. The room was divided into two parts.

It wasn't a curtain, but it was separated by height. In Judea, children and servants were in one room like this.

Even these animals slept together. In the evening even chickens, cattle, sheep and goats

It was customary to drive into the house and sleep with them. So when the master wakes up

It is difficult because all the family members, servants, and even the animals wake up and wake up.

When I knock on the door, the chicken is startled and flaps its wings with a "cackle", and the goat cries with a "moo" and cries.

It's not cumbersome.

But look at verses 7 and 8.

“He answered from within and said, ‘Do not trouble me; the door is already shut, and the children come out

Can you say that I cannot give it to you, because we lied together in bed?

I tell you, even if you do not get up and give, because of your friendship,

He will rise up and give him whatever he needs.”

This is what Jesus likened to be about getting up purely because of pleading, because of persistent swearing.

will be Through this parable, Jesus taught us how to pray.

Knock on the door a few times and your friend won't wake up, so don't give up and walk away.

Contents that say that you must actively cling to the door until you open it and save it despite your fears.

is.

There are many prayers of such supplications in the Bible.

① In particular, the prayer that Abraham, the father of faith, pleads for Sodom, Gomorrah, and Lot there.

gave After praying that if there are only 50 righteous people, Sodom and Gomorrah will not be destroyed.

I prayed for 45, 40, 30, 20, and finally reduced to 10. God that

Hearing the prayer of supplication, it is recorded in Genesis 19:29. "God

When he destroyed the cities of the field, when he overthrew the city in which Lot lived, he remembered Abraham and overthrew Lot.

He sent him out in the midst of a prayer.” Hearing Abraham’s relentless prayer, he sent Lot.

You saved me.

② Also, in Luke 18, Jesus compared persistence in prayer.

In a city there was a judge who did not fear God and ignored men. that too

There was a widow in the city who often went to the judge to avenge her foes.

begged. The judge did not grant her plea for some time, and finally

This made me think. 'If I don't listen to her pleas, they always come and torture me.

What will you do if you always come to pray in the morning and evening? so the plea

He says that he has heard them, and even the unrighteous judges hear them, but how much more can God call them day and night?

Will you not avenge the cry of the elect, or will you be patient? But the Son of Man will come

Will you ever see faith? There are those who will hear the word of the Lord and pray persistently and persistently.

you said yes The supplication here is the Greek word “anai deia”, which means “without shame.

It means "unscrupulous". It is an annoying and persistent prayer regardless of time, place, or person.

say that

The Lord has commanded us to pray like this. Then I will give you what you need (8).

I did.

.May God's name be hallowed.

.Pray for the Kingdom of God to come

.to ask for daily bread

.to forgive sins

.If you pray persistently and patiently that you will not fall into temptation, God will surely hear you.

He told me the parable of a friend who came to me at night.(5-8)

. Second, the person who prays should pray in an attitude of trust. (9-12)

In Genesis 15, Jehovah God promises to give Abraham children (4) and land (7).

you did Abraham was 100 years old when he said he would give him a child. physically

is a time when there is absolutely no hope, so Abraham did not believe. This Abraham in the dark night

He will take them out and make them look at the countless stars in the night sky and the Milky Way; and so will your descendants be.

and Abraham believed. When we believed in this way, God counted it as righteousness.

(Genesis 15:6) He also said that he would give the land (15:7). "I give you this land to

I am the LORD, who called you out of Ur of the Chaldeans to make you." Abraham did not believe.

When I asked what I would see and believe, God said to Abraham a three-year-old cow and three-year-old rock salt.

Take cattle, three-year-old rams, turtledoves, and pigeons, and cut them in the middle and place them face to face.

I did. Here the famous Covenant is concluded. Covenant in Hebrew

It means to cut, to cut, to drag.

When the kings of individuals or nations make covenants, they do this. split the meat, and

Two men pass through the meat and see this split meat. If either side breaks the covenant

It splits like that meat. So, God split Abraham in Genesis 15:17.

God Himself passed through the meat. "When the sun goes down and it's dark, the smoke

A furnace was seen, and a flaming torch passed through the pieces of meat.”

If you break the rules, God, you will be cut like this meat. God made this promise

He told Abraham to trust God. Therefore, even if heaven and earth pass away,

Promises will be fulfilled without change.

Keeping this context in mind, let's ponder the words and text that Jesus promised.

“Again I say to you, ask, and it will be given you; seek, and you will find

knock, and the door will be opened to you; for everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks

find, and it will be opened to him who knocks.

Who among you is a father, if his son asks for a fish, give him a snake instead of a fish and give him an egg

Will you give me a scorpion?" Just as there is no father like that, your heavenly Father has given you what you ask for

He told us to trust by giving an analogy.

The Lord said ask, seek, and knock. In the second half of James 4:2 it says, “You cannot have it.

Ham does not ask.” Therefore, ask diligently, patiently, and with trust.

I pray that you will receive, knock, open, seek and be found.

.Third, God who answers our prayers gives us the best

Poetry is God.

The story of “a friend who came to me in the night” that Jesus told me also tells us that we need to pray with endurance.

It teaches us that we must beg, persevere, and persevere, but more importantly

One thing is that Heavenly Father gives us more than we pray for. ha

Forcing us to get what we want by forcefully taking the time to do what is not pleasing to me, and

Knocking and squeezing the door until an answer comes in to force you to receive something that is not even pleasing to you.

I'm not talking about what you get.

The parable is originally a Greek word for "parabole", which means "to throw aside. It lies beside".

I will listen to what is by my side, compare them, and teach them a lesson.

What is the point of this verse?

Either the landlord is stingy and gives out bread reluctantly, or the friend's unrelenting patience is oppressive.

It is not something that has been put out. It wasn't something I reluctantly gave up.

See verse 13.

“If you, though evil, know how to give good things to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father

Will you not give me the 'Holy Spirit'?

Matthew 7:11 says to those who ask, “Will you not give good things to them?”

In any case, ask, seek, knock, to give the best to your children who ask.

You did. Therefore, trusting that the best will be given, and not by compulsion and reluctance

He said that he is a Father who happily gives the best. Therefore, I believe in this Father

Let's pray.

At that time, Jesus taught the Lord's Prayer and taught the posture of prayer to his disciples.

is. The disciples of Jesus came to Jesus, and John also taught them to pray.

This is what you said when I asked you to teach me too.

If you write and ask, God will gladly answer you.

He who asks receives,

He who seeks finds,

It will be opened to the one who knocks,

If you ask for bread, there is no father to give you a stone,

If you ask for fish, there is no father to give you snake meat.

Just like when you ask for an egg, there is no father to give you a scorpion.

“If you, though evil, know how to give good things to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father

Will you not give me the Holy Spirit?” In Jesus’ view, the best thing for the disciples

It was "the Holy Spirit."

However, what the disciples wanted at that time was the restoration of Israel (Acts 1:6).

Because Judea was a vassal to Rome, it overthrew Rome and was liberated, and Judea ruled the world.

was my wish. But in the eyes of the Lord, the best thing for the disciples is money

No, not children, not honor, nor was Israel restored and reigned.

is. It is only by receiving the “Holy Spirit”. Acts 1:8 says, “But when the Holy Spirit comes on you,

You will receive power, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”

You did.

Jesus did not leave Jerusalem to give this good Holy Spirit to his disciples, but to receive the promised Holy Spirit.

You told me to wait. When the disciples waited eagerly for 7 days and prayed, on the day of Pentecost, the Holy Spirit

received The disciples were given power, and they went to Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria, Rome, India,

He went to Lyca to preach the gospel, cast out demons and healed.

Peter was able to convert 3,000, 5,000, and tens of thousands of people in a day, and even the shadows passed by.

This was good.

The best thing for the disciples was "the Holy Spirit." Therefore, if we pray, it is good for us

will give you something
