Sermons for Preaching

Title: The praying steward (Acts 01:12-14)

Contents Prayer is a prayer that a believer who trusts in God says so that God can hear it. Believers believe they are weak. And I believe there are many inclinations to sin. And it is said that the world is rough and evil. But we believe that God is omnipotent. This Almighty God helps the saints.

The saints always ask for help while communing with God. Some people say that you keep asking for something. The deeper the relationship, the more often they ask each other. And listen. In this way, you enter into a deeper relationship with each other. God also requires us to ask for our needs. The Church Must Have the Secret Weapon of Prayer (Amalek War)

1. The effectiveness of prayer.

1) Receive God's love.

God loves his servants who pray and especially shows him many graces (David/Solomon Hezekiah)

2) It is about building yourself up.

A building without a strong foundation will not last long. It breaks down quickly, especially in difficult times. Even when prayers go well or fail, we must not stop. Even if you are busy and hard, you should have prayed. You get the wisdom to build yourself up, repair (maintenance), and set your own path.

3) Prayer acquires wisdom and strength to overcome adversity.

Jesus also told his disciples to watch and pray so that they would not fall into temptation. The Antioch Church also sent Barnabas and Paul to missionary work where ups and downs were expected, and while fasting and praying, they laid their hands on the two apostles and sent them out. It is prayer that can overcome obstacles, temptations, trials, and setbacks. When we pray, we gain courage, wisdom, and new strength from the Lord. We will overcome the history of evil spirits that obstruct us out of sight. What the devil fears most is the fear of the servants who prostrate at the foot of the cross.

4) There is an effect in work (I lead a victorious life)

Things that don't pray seem to work out, but the results aren't that great. However, praying and practicing does not seem to work well, but the results are good. If you receive God's approval through prayer and implement it, you will prosper. It is Solomon who knows this secret. Prayer is the way to receive God's blessing.

2. Method of prayer (Popular prayer)

In particular, those who have become deacons and have become teachers or district governors must pray well and have the ability to lead the way. It is truly shameful to say that a volunteer cannot do the most important service of prayer. I would like to briefly explain the basics of popular prayer.

1. Basic posture

1) With faith 2) With love for God and the congregation 3) With the assurance that if you pray, He will surely hear you.

2. How to offer public prayers.

1) It should not be difficult 2) It should be done in simple words.

3) The purpose must be clear. Adequate to the situation/ time/purpose 4) It should be short (long personal prayer/ short public prayer within 5 minutes) 4) centered prayer. 5) You must do it in the name of Jesus. The name of Jesus is like a signature. No matter how well you write and write well, it is of no use without a signature. God accepts prayers offered in the name of Jesus. This is God's promise.

God wants to meet us in prayer and to bless and empower us. He wants to hear our voices and show us His heart through prayer. Let's become faith strengthened through prayer.
