Title: The Presence of the Holy Spirit

the presence of the Holy Spirit
Acts 2:1~4
Matthias, who will replace Judah, is elected by lot, and they gather in Mark's upper room to pray earnestly while waiting for the promised Holy Spirit.
While praying earnestly, they experience something they have never experienced in their lifetime, and that is the presence of the Holy Spirit.
The presence of the Holy Spirit comes as a supernatural phenomenon. It is a phenomenon that is completely incomprehensible to our knowledge. But if you do not accept the presence of the Holy Spirit, that faith will not last very long. We believers must receive the presence of the Holy Spirit We must be filled with the Holy Spirit. Then, let's share the Word about how the Holy Spirit is present and what are the signs of the Holy Spirit.
First - When we gather to pray, the Holy Spirit comes upon us.
Acts 2:1 “When the day of Pentecost came, they were all together in one place.
They gathered in Jerusalem just as Jesus had said. We gathered in Mark's attic and prayed together for 10 days. What did we pray about? The reason they gathered was to receive the presence of the Holy Spirit. I long for the presence of the Holy Spirit and pray, and then I see the Holy Spirit come.
Among the Shin Ah-in, there is a single Inang-in. A person who simply comes to church to worship alone and to go alone is called a believer alone. The church will come, but they do not experience God's grace deeply and do not experience the fervent work of the Holy Spirit.. Will these people soon wither their faith and leave God or do there exist God? I doubt it too.
- When is the fire strongest?
A drop of water is weak. However, drop by drop, many drops of water When water gathers, it becomes a stream; when streams gather, it becomes a river; and when rivers gather, it forms the sea. The church is the same. A church that does not gather has no power. Even if there are saints, if there is not one accord, the church has no vitality. A powerful church To become a powerful member, we must gather.
Prayer is stronger when praying in groups than when praying alone.
(Matthew 18:19-20) “Again, truly I say to you, if two of you agree on earth to ask for anything, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven. are in the midst.”
- Tongues of fire are split apart...that is, a great fire came and fell on each person.
Those who want to experience the filling of the Holy Spirit and the presence of the Holy Spirit again, please do not miss the time of worship and united prayer. Because there is a strong history there.
However, as North and South Korea were divided, the gospel was no longer allowed in the North, and they could not gather and pray, so the work of the Holy Spirit did not appear in North Korea and the gospel did not spread any more. However, in southern Korea, churches were built, gathered to pray, worship, and longing for the Holy Spirit to pray earnestly. God gave the Korean church a great revival without any history in the world, and also developed the nation into a prosperous nation.
The Bible is saying. “Seek ye first his kingdom and his, and all things will be given to you.” When we gather together to pray, the Holy Spirit is not my problem, but first acknowledges and welcomes and welcomes us. You solve the problem.
- Let's enjoy gathering. Please don't stop gathering. When we gather, the Holy Spirit comes upon us.
Second - the phenomenon of the presence of the Holy Spirit
‘Suddenly’ - Arrived without notice
If you look at verse 2, it is said that he came suddenly. To come suddenly means to come suddenly without notice. You can call it an unannounced visit.
There is no such thing as when or what time the Holy Spirit's presence will come. If we wait and pray, the Holy Spirit will come to us. Therefore, in order to receive the filling of the Holy Spirit, we must always be awake and pray. You shouldn't be lazy. Then, who can receive blessings and grace? Those who always keep the place of prayer and worship can receive great grace and blessings. It is because we do not know when the Holy Spirit will come, and we do not know when God's great blessings will come. What if God came with a gift of blessing and grace, and you are asleep and concerned about something else? Also, the second coming of Jesus is the same. You didn't say when the Lord would come. Even Jesus doesn't know... Only God knows... That's why in these last days, we must always watch and pray and prepare to welcome the Holy Spirit, Jesus, who comes without warning!!
We do not know when the Holy Spirit's presence will come “in a hurry”. It is because the Holy Spirit comes without notice. However, once the Holy Spirit comes upon us, he is not restless and is present rapidly. That is why the fullness came upon each person and took hold of that person.
"strongly"
The presence of the Holy Spirit is supernatural. It's something we humans can't control. If the Holy Spirit comes on us weakly and just like that, we cannot be under His control.... Only when He is powerfully present, I disappear and the Holy Spirit takes control of me.
When we are led by force, we can live a victorious life without failing.
While I was watching TV, I came across the news that a large tornado or typhoon hit foreign countries and caused great damage. A tornado or typhoon starts with a small wind and turns into a typhoon with a big wind. Houses fly, bikes fly, even people fly. Turns the area into a swamp.
However, if the strong wind of the Holy Spirit swept away quickly, all of the doubts, disbelief, condemnation, lies, greed, etc. in Uriah would be blown away by the wind of the Holy Spirit, leaving only the calmness of the Lord.
If you have such an unclean heart in your hearts today, I pray that the Holy Spirit will come on you urgently and strongly and ask that you will sweep them all away.
Third - the sign of the Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit's presence works in them to the full, and then strange phenomena appear. While praying, the disciples suddenly feel strange words coming out of their mouths. I can't help but be surprised. They must have been surprised as they prayed that words they did not know came out of their lips, unintentionally. Perhaps “Why is this happening?” I would have tried to stop the language while I was doing it. But that's not going to be easy. If you just open your mouth, strange words come out. It wasn't just one person who had such a phenomenon, but all the people who received the Holy Spirit there all said strange things.
I believe that you have also experienced the same phenomenon... I was a little surprised when I first heard the dialect... But the shock is less since everyone around me spoke in a tongue and heard them speak in tongues. But anyway, it was a strange experience.. Now, most of the prayers are done in tongues...but prayers in tongues can be prayed for much longer than prayers in general languages.
How can we know the presence of the Holy Spirit? It is speaking in tongues through the Holy Spirit. Our Pentecostal denomination sees the evidence of “receiving the Holy Spirit” in tongues. This is because the event of the coming of the Holy Spirit on the first day of Pentecost was revealed through tongues.
Dialects have several dialects. I'll tell you more about it later... The types of dialects are dialects that use each country's language. It refers to being fluent in a foreign language even though I have not studied a foreign language such as English, Japanese, or Chinese in particular. These are the tongues of the nobles in today's text.
(Acts 2:5-11) “At that time devout Jews from all the nations of the world were living in Jerusalem. When this sound was heard, a great crowd gathered and each heard what the disciples were saying in their own tongues, and they were disturbed. They were amazed and said, “Look! Are not all Galileans? Why is it that we hear each of us in our own language of origin? We are the Phathaeans, the Medes, the Elamites, and Mesopotamia, Judea and Cappadocia, Pontus and Asia, Bambili Oh, Egypt, and those living in the provinces of Libya near Cyrene, and strangers from Rome, Jews and converts to Judaism, Cretans and Arabs, who all hear us speaking in our own tongues the great things of God. come and go”
People from different parts of the world see the disciples speaking their own language. As such, there are dialects that speak other languages, and there are spiritual dialects.
(1 Corinthians 14:2) “He who speaks in a tongue does not speak to men, but to God; for no one understands, but the Spirit speaks mysteries.”
This is a dialect that I do not understand and that no one else knows. But God knows and hears.
As such, there are two kinds of tongues, and if possible, the saints should receive them.
(1 Corinthians 14:18) “I give thanks to God, because I speak in tongues more than all of you”
(1 Corinthians 14:39) “Therefore, my brethren, long to prophesy, and do not forbid speaking in tongues.”
Only then can we pray more and the Holy Spirit directly guides our prayers.
(Romans 8:26) “In the same way the Spirit helps us in our weakness, for we do not know how to pray as we ought, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words.”
That's right. Sometimes we do not know what to pray for. So when we do not know what to pray and how to pray, if we pray in tongues, the Holy Spirit will tell us what we want and intercede for us.
Be sure to speak dialects as well! The reason we must receive it is because prayer in tongues is a spiritual prayer with God. What do you think of PSY or other popular slang these days? Psy writes secret texts.. And while the children use slang, they see that there is a language between their peers. Adults don't know what I'm talking about if they're not interested. Dialects are also okay. Not only do people not know, unless someone has the gift of interpreting, and even evil spirits do not know what spiritual tongues are... Therefore, tongues are a secret conversation with God. No matter how much evil spirits try to interfere, they cannot understand the secret language of speaking in tongues with God, so they cannot interfere with it.
If you have not received a dialect yet, please do!! I want to tell you to get it..and if you can't do it alone ..if you ask, I'll pray for you.
In conclusion
Dear saints, please long for the presence of the Holy Spirit.
