Title: The Principle of Enjoying Christ
Content Principle of enjoying Christ 1 (Judges 2:1-3)
The book of Judges is a record of 400 years after Joshua's death until the king of Israel was established. When Israel betrayed God, God gave these people into the hands of the enemy, and when they cried out in pain and repented, He raised up judges to save them. Therefore, a leader is very important. If the leader is upright, the family, church, and nation will receive God's blessing. I pray in the name of Jesus that we may all become noble leaders so that our families will be blessed and the church and Korea will live.
Judges have the three-generation office of “prophet, priest, and king.” (1) A prophet refers to the ability to see the future. Leaders need to know what will happen sooner than others with exemplary abilities. (2) Priests are the power to enlighten and lead the people to God. The prophet speaks from God's side to man, but the priest speaks from the human side to God. (3) A king refers to the ability to rule and govern people well. Some people are born with a good gift as a leader from the moment they are born. However, in a person who does not have this gift, the power of judgement is revealed when the oil of the Holy Spirit is poured into the person. Let us long for the anointing of the Holy Spirit so that we too may become judges (leaders) for this age. When raising church workers, especially elders, we need to examine whether they have received personal powers, innate gifts, and the anointing of the Holy Spirit. This is because when a leader is established rightly, he overcomes the enemy, overcomes the devil, and overcomes the world.
So, what idols were there in Canaan? First, the supreme idol of Canaan is Baal, which means “Lord”. But our eternal Lord is Jesus Christ. The owner of matter, time, possessions, and existence is God. Let God be the Lord. The second idol is Asherah, the goddess who destroyed Israel. If Baal is the battle of “God’s place,” Asherah speaks of “union,” or pleasure. The culture and pleasures of the world that are not united with Jesus are knowledge, sexual immorality, and union with Satan. The third idol is Ashtaroth, the god of abundance and supply. It is an idol in itself to think that something else in the world will fill me. The fourth idol is Dagon, the god of food, food, and clothing. Anything not eaten through Christ is an idol. The fifth idol is Moloxin, which means “king”. But there is no king except Jesus. Cast out all the idols in me and put Jesus Christ in their place, so that only Jesus can be my master.
