Title: The Restoration of Job

Job's recovery
Job 42:10-17
Job is a representative figure of trials and sufferings in the Bible. All hardships and failures except death are wretched. The house he was living in collapsed, children who wouldn't hurt to put it in their eyes died, thousands of livestock were plundered, and Job himself became seriously ill and had to scrape himself with a tile. Not only that, but his wife cursed her husband and left, and his friends came to comfort him, accusing him of suffering because of your sins.
1. Health was restored (Job 42:16)
The serious illness that plagued him disappeared, and he was blessed with a long life of 140 years. Where Jesus was, there was healing and restoration. Where there is life, death disappears and grace comes.
2. Relations restored (Job 42:9)
The friends who were tormenting Job come to him and reconcile. Brothers, sisters, and relatives who had never even looked at them came to comfort them, ate dinner together, and gave gifts. God directly intervened, scolded Job's friends and ordered that he be reconciled with Job.
3. Material is restored (Job 42:12)
Job was blessed with a tremendous amount of material to restore everything he had lost. God blessed Job with material blessings in the last years of his life. Economic recovery is also God's grace.
4. The family was restored (Job 42:13)
They had seven sons and three daughters. There was no woman in the whole country as beautiful as Job's daughters. The family has been restored. Family reconciliation and marital love are also accomplished in the love of God.
5. Faith restored (Job 42:5-6)
Through trials, pain, despair, frustration, betrayal, and sorrow, Job experienced God more deeply. The faith that was only heard was changed to the experience of seeing the Lord with our eyes. No matter how clean you are, you discover that you are a sinner before God, and you come to realize that everything is restored by God's grace. That is, his faith was revived and became more mature.
Some people lose their faith as they earn more, get promoted, have more work to do, and become recognized people. However, like Job, there are people whose faith comes to life in the midst of suffering and failure. When faith dies, on that day all things end. That is why the restoration of faith is the most urgent and important thing. In 2011, I hope that you will be saints who will be at the peak of recovery and grace.
