Meditation on Jesus' Great Command
The resurrected Jesus appeared to the eleven disciples, rebuked them for their unbelief and stubbornness, and gave them the Great Commission (至上命令). The essence and core of the gospel is the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ on the cross (1 Corinthians 15:1-4). Those who believe that He has already paid the price for their sins will be forgiven and live with Him forever. His death and resurrection are the driving force for many Christians throughout the world today to share the gospel.
Ascended Jesus
The resurrected Jesus appeared to his disciples several times during 40 days to teach and ascend from the Mount of Olives near Bethany (Luke 24:50; Acts 1:12). When Jesus ascended to heaven and sat down at the right hand of God, it signifies the completion of his work, his authority as God, and his enthronement as king. Now, while waiting for the Lord to come again, we must endure to the end, serve the Lord, and testify of Jesus.
