Title: The Resurrection Life / Acts 10:38-42
Acts 10:38-42
God poured out the Holy Spirit and power on Jesus of Nazareth. This Jesus went about doing good and healing those who were oppressed by the devil. Because God was with him. We are witnesses of all that Jesus did in Judea and Jerusalem. People killed him by hanging him on a tree, but God raised him on the third day and made him appear. God did not make it to be revealed to everyone, but to us, the witnesses whom God had chosen beforehand. After he rose from the dead, we ate and drank with him. This Jesus commands us to proclaim and testify to men that God has appointed him to be judge of the living and of the dead. Of this Jesus, all the prophets testified that whoever believes in him receives forgiveness of sins in his name.
1 Corinthians 15:20-26
But now Christ has risen from the dead, becoming the firstfruits of those who slept. For as death came through one man, so also comes the resurrection of the dead through one man. As in Adam all died, so in Christ all will be brought to life. But each will do so in my turn. First, Christ as the firstfruits, and then those who belong to Christ at the second coming of Christ. Then comes the end, when Christ will abolish all rule and authority and power and present the kingdom to God the Father. Christ must rule until God puts all enemies at His feet. The last enemy to be destroyed is death.
John 20:15-18
Jesus said to Mary. "Woman, why are you crying? Who are you looking for?" Mary thought he was the gardener and said, "Hello, if you have taken him away, tell me where you put him. I will take care of him." Jesus called, "Mary!" Mary turned and called in Hebrew, "Rabuni!" (which means 'Teacher!'). Jesus said to Mary. "Do not touch me. I have not yet ascended to the Father. Now go to my brothers and say to my Father and your Father and my God and your God, I am ascending." Mary Magdalene went and told the disciples that she had seen the Lord and that the Lord had said these things to her.

An unknown poet wrote the following poem: "Jesus died! / What people held dear at that time / perished with him / Hope lay beside him in the tomb / Love grew cold as a skull / All beautiful things died with his death. . // Jesus was resurrected! / Then a light of hope / / rose with him / / people said / 'not Christ, but death / died last night' / and thus joy and truth and all virtues. / He rose again with his resurrection" Although it doesn't look very flashy from the point of view of literary skill and rhetoric, I think this poem is a very concise description of the meaning of Jesus' resurrection and the impact it had on the world. I would like to meditate on what the resurrection of Jesus Christ really means to us based on today's text.
