Title: The Righteous Judge
There is one person who made a big impression on me. That person is Judge Hong-seop Kim, also known as Judge Apostle. Judge Hongseop Kim was a righteous judge who loved God and loved people. It is said that on his judge's desk always had a Bible and a book of six laws placed side by side. It is said that when he made a judgment, he said the following words and made a judgment.
"Before God, both you and I are sinners. Unfortunately, I became a judge of the Republic of Korea to judge you, so please understand it widely."
“For he has set a day when he will judge the world with justice by a man he has appointed, and he has given reliable evidence to all by raising him from the dead” (Acts 17:31).
The application and enforcement of the law is fair and rigorous. If this is not followed, the order and discipline of a society will collapse. God judges everything in life. Because he is omnipotent and omnipotent, he is the one who can make the most accurate judgments. We want the consent and approval of like-minded people. But the problem is that we have to think about what it will be like when God judges. We need to think about whether we have no shame in the face of God's standard without an inch of error.
The Bible says
“O LORD Almighty, who judges righteously and searches the hearts of men, I have made known to you my quest, and I will see your recompense against them” (Jeremiah 11:20).
“Judge me, O God, and defend my case against an ungodly nation, and deliver me from the deceitful and unrighteous” (Psalm 43:1).
“To do justice is a joy to the righteous, but destruction to the sinner” (Proverbs 21:15)
Justice Horace Gray, former Chief Justice of the United States Supreme Court, met a man on the street one day. The man was stalking the streets after being acquitted, cleverly evading the law. Recognizing the offender, Judge Gray caught him and said:
"I know that you are guilty, and you know it. I have something to tell you. In the latter days you will stand before a judge who is wiser and superior to men. There you will be judged not by the laws of the world but by justice. that's it."
The world's judgment is not 100% righteous. It makes my heart flutter. No matter how much you try and appeal, a completely righteous trial is impossible, so those with strong money gain momentum. But when Jesus comes again, our God's judgment will be just. God is slow to anger and abundant in mercy, but when that day comes, He will judge only with justice.
“He will judge the world with righteousness; he will judge the peoples with uprightness” (Psalm 9:8).
Where there is no light, darkness spreads, but when the light shines, the darkness disappears in an instant. Likewise, when justice is gone, the world is ruled by sinners, but when justice is achieved, sinners lose their place. The righteous rejoice in doing justice, and when justice is done, they are satisfied and rejoicing. But sinners do not like to do justice, and when justice is done, they will perish in fear.
Therefore, Christians should always remember God who judges with justice, rejoice in righteousness, and live a life that hungers and thirsts for righteousness.
* Prayer: Righteous God, all people must stand before your judgment seat. Help us to live a life of dependence on you, realizing that our righteousness can never overcome that judgment. My tongue will speak of Your righteousness; I will praise You all day long. Help us to entrust our events to the judgment of God, a righteous Judge. All I have ever lived is the grace of the Lord. Thank you for your grace, I will live as brightly as the sun and praise you for your love, mercy, kindness, and justice. We pray in the name of Jesus who saved us. Amen
