1. The lot for the sons of Joseph went up from Jericho into the wilderness from the Jordan by Jericho, on the east side of the spring of Jericho, and went up from Jericho to the hill country of Bethel.
2. From Bethel to Luz, passing through the borders of the Arekites, to Ataroth.
3. And it went down to the west, and came to the border of the Japhletites, and to Beth-horon and Gezer, and the end of it was the sea.
4. The sons of Joseph, Manasseh and Ephraim, received their inheritance.
5. These are the territories that the children of Ephraim received according to their families.
6. And it went west to Michmedah in the north, and turned east to Taanath Shiloh, and passed east of Janoah.
7. From Janoah they went down to Ataroth and Naara, met Jericho, and went to the Jordan.
8. And from Tappua it went west to the brook Cana, and the end was the sea.
9. And there were also all the cities and villages of the children of Manasseh that were set apart for the children of Ephraim from the inheritance.
10. Because they did not drive out the Canaanites who dwelt in Gezer, the Canaanites live in the midst of Ephraim and are slaves to this day.

13. As the Jewish Passover was near, Jesus went up to Jerusalem.
14. And he saw in the temple those selling oxen and sheep and doves and the money changers sitting
15. He made a whip out of cords, and drove all sheep and cattle out of the temple; he poured out the money changers and overturned the tables.
16. And he said to those who sold doves, Take this from here, and do not make my father's house a house of business.
17. The disciples remembered the words of the scriptures, that the zeal for the temple of the Lord will devour me.
18. And the Jews answered and said to Jesus, What sign will you show us, that you do these things?
19. Jesus answered and said to them, "Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.
20. And the Jews said, It took forty-six years to build this temple, and will you raise it up in three days?
21. But Jesus was referring to his body, which was a temple.
22. Only after he was raised from the dead did the disciples remember these words and believed the scriptures and the words that Jesus had spoken.
