Title: The Risen Jesus
“Lord, if you have moved away, tell me where you have put it, and I will take it” (John 20:15).
- That is why Jesus showed the first glory of His resurrection to the women who truly loved Him. Jesus always showed His glory to those who loved Him, regardless of whether they were rich or poor, and He visited those who longed for His grace and touched their souls. Because his life was like that, it is quite natural that Jesus showed the first glory of his resurrection to these women.
- What we lack today is true love for Jesus Christ. We lack the ardor of love, knowing what Jesus has done for us and loving Him sincerely. The coldness of today's congregation of believers is almost an apostasy. Among the huge crowds that come into the church every Sunday, there are too many people whose life's concern is not to love Jesus Christ. They come to the same church as the empty tomb every Sunday and return without meeting Jesus. Think about how Jesus' heart would be when he saw us like that, who died on the cross for us.
2. The death and resurrection of the cross, the event of the present perfect
- There can be no resurrection glory for those who do not know what it is to be crucified with Christ Jesus and die in the field of life with him. It is through dying and living again with Jesus Christ that we are sanctified from the corrupt self-love that remains in our hearts.
- We don't know how many more tears we have to walk this pilgrimage to become what Jesus expected us to be when he died for us. However, we know that it is God who leads us on the path of suffering with unspeakable wisdom and power. So, on this pilgrimage, in order to live as true believers before God and for our own faults, we will suffer a lot, but through the process of suffering, we see the death of Jesus deeply permeating us.
3. Participation in the Glory of the Resurrection
- So we come to realize that this world is insignificant because of the wonderful experience of death, and we experience what it is to crucify the old man. We also learn through the process that the suffering we suffer because of the Lord, though painful, is a blessing from God.
- God doesn't just make us feel pain while we live. There was great sorrow and pain of death for the women weeping in front of the empty tomb, but just as Jesus showed them the first glory of His resurrection, God also comes to us so that we may know what is the secret of living again.
- Resurrection is not enough for an event that occurred 2000 years ago, nor is it enough for the event where our souls will meet our glorious bodies with the shout of the Lord. Resurrection is an event that must be constantly experienced in our lives while we live in between. And only those who experience in life what it is to die with Christ experience what it is to live again with Jesus Christ.
- To those who truly love Jesus Christ and who want to see Him more, Jesus appears and meets them. It is God's will to show the glory of the resurrection of Jesus Christ to those who carry the death of Jesus in their body every day, know that they are the worst among sinners, and live on the cross. May we become believers who experience the glory of living again with Jesus Christ in our daily lives... 2004-04-11
