Contents
In today's text, we can see that the resurrected Lord appeared to people four times. Then to whom did the risen Lord appear?
First, he appeared to Mary Magdalene, who was grieving.
Mary Magdalene was a woman who loved and followed Jesus like life. When Jesus died, he mourned and wept. On the third day after he died, when he visited the tomb of Jesus, he saw that the body was missing and began to weep. It was then that the resurrected Lord appeared to her and gave her comfort and courage. Today, the resurrected Lord comes to those who are struggling and struggling in sorrow and loneliness, giving them comfort and courage.
Second, he appeared to the trembling disciples.
After Jesus died on the cross, the disciples locked the door because they were afraid and were trembling with anxiety. The resurrected Lord appeared to the disciples who were trembling with fear and terror like this. And you can see that he gave peace by saying, 'Peace be with you.'
Is there anyone today who is anxious and afraid of illness or future problems because of job loss?
I hope that you will receive the courage of true peace by accepting the Lord of the Resurrection.
Third, he appeared to Thomas, who was in doubt.
When Thomas heard that Jesus had risen, he became suspicious and asked for proof. Then the resurrected Lord appeared and reassured Thomas who was doubting. Today, the risen Lord comes to us and inspires us with confidence.
Fourth, he appeared to Thomas, who was in doubt.
After Jesus died, Peter was very discouraged and went back to the old Sea of Galilee.
At that time, you can see that the resurrected Lord visited him and gave him a new hope and a new mission, saying, 'Shepherd my sheep.' Have any of you fallen into disappointment? I hope that you can meet the risen Lord and start a new life with new hope.
