where the war has passed
hope of peace
The Messiah is God's instrument that brings salvation, glory, holiness, and light of rest. The Messiah is a servant of God, empowered by the Spirit of Restoration. God's Immanuel will bring the reign of universal peace to mankind and nature. But the wicked will not escape his wrath. The Messiah is faithful and will establish the kingdom of God with justice, justice, peace, and loyalty. His kingdom will bring on the earth a new age of glory and holiness. The blessing of the new age is the kingdom of ‘light’ in contrast to ‘darkness’.
Help: 1. A bud sprouts from the trunk of Jesse (11:1): The stump that will sprout from the tree that is cut down refers to the royal family of David. It will come from the stem of Jesse.
2. Then the wolf will dwell with the Lamb (11:6): The realm of the great ruler is not limited to the human world. His full reign will extend to the natural world.
3. Everywhere on my holy mountain (11:9): The ‘holy mountain’ can be seen to refer to the hill where the temple was located. The holy mountain of Jehovah, which has been the target of attack by enemies, will no longer be exposed to such dangers.
