Title: The Rule of Redemption /Deuteronomy 21:1～9
Content Moses, who explained the rules for war, then explained the laws and regulations that the people of Israel were to follow.
“I will explain what you should do when you see a slain corpse lying face down in a deserted place. When a body is found and the murderer is unknown, the entire town's inhabitants must take responsibility and perform a rite of atonement for their sins. Determine the city closest to the place where the body was found, and let the ransom ceremony be performed under the presidency of the elders of that city.
First, choose a heifer that the elders have not yet cared for or have not been yoked. And I will bring the calf to a stream of water all year round and break the calf's neck. At this time, the priests must be present. The initiation of the priests symbolically reveals that all these ceremonies are being performed before God. The elders will thereafter declare their innocence of the shedding of blood by washing their hands, then testifying that they have not witnessed the evil act of murder and have nothing to do with the act and the people of their town. . Through this act, we will be freed from responsibility for the sin of shedding blood.”
This raises the question of why either God commanded a full search for the murderer, or why did God not reveal the killer through supernatural means? The answer is simple. This is because when God judges sin, He does not want to punish a specific individual, but He wants the whole community to be sanctified through that judgment.
That's right. The solution to the overall crisis that our country faces is also the same. God is not commanding us to seek the body now. Through this crisis, he wants the 12 million Christians on this earth to repent and become holy. Where is the heifer now who will atone for sins?
