Title: Saints seeking Danbi

Bible: Zechariah 10:1-12

Starting Point of the Word>>

This time, we would like to share a message with the title of “Saints seeking the rain.”

In Israel, it rains twice a year under the same climatic conditions as Korea. The rain that falls from October to November is called the early rain, and the rain that comes in March to April is called the late rain.

They wait for the early rain to sow the seeds, and after the latter rain, the crops ripen and harvest.

The early rain is the rain of sowing, and the late rain is the rain of fruit.

But the important thing is that no matter how early it rains, no matter how much seeds are sown and the crops grow, unless it rains later, they will not bear fruit.

The spring rain referred to in the text is the rain that comes to bear fruit.

If we look at verse 1 of the text,

“When the spring rains come, ask for rain from the LORD, the LORD who makes the clouds, and it will rain showers on them all, and the field will give vegetables to each one of them.”

I did.

Spring rain is when it rains late.

It is customary when it rains, but the important thing is to "ask God for rain."

There is a deep meaning here.

Even when the latter rain is due, we must remember that if God closes the sky, not even a drop of rain falls.

In North America, there are the Sonoro and Mojave deserts.

If you go to Somalia, you have the Chalbi Desert, and if you go to Central Asia, you have the Taklamaran Desert and the Gobi Desert.

If you go to Africa, the Sahara Desert occupies one-third of the African continent.

The characteristic of deserts is that there is no rain all the time, and then it rains for a year's worth of rain all at once.

And the temperature at 3pm in the desert is 38'c, and at 3am the temperature drops to below zero.

The difficulty of living in the desert is that there is no rain despite the temperature difference.

As such, rain is very important in our life.

Likewise, the text also emphasizes the importance of rain, but more importantly, we must pray to God for it to rain.

We hope that this time will also be a precious time for us to pray for the blessing of the Holy Spirit.

Go to Word>>

So first of all, what is the meaning of rain in the text?

First, rain means grace and blessing from God, and it means the power and gift of the Holy Spirit.

A land without rain is called a desert, and likewise, a soul without grace is a spiritual desert.

The only animals that live in the desert are poisonous ones.

Examples include vipers, hungry wolves, horned lizards, and mice.

And most of the vegetation that inhabits it is cacti.

However, around the oasis, forests of various trees and flowers bloom in a mess.

The heart that has received spiritual grace is like an oasis, overflowing with abundance and fullness.

However, a spirit like a desert without rain is infested with poisonous snakes that kill themselves and others.

Dogs that are raised in the home and are loved by their owners are called pet dogs.

A dog's sleeping and eating are also distinct.

They eat nothing but separate food and are raised in a house under the love and protection of their owners.

However, a dog that shoots anywhere and picks up anything is called a crossbreed dog.

They go anywhere, pick up anything, eat anything, defecate anywhere, and sleep anywhere.

But did you know that pet dogs can live for 13 years and crossbreed dogs can only live 7 years?

If we, who are saints, forsake grace, go our own way, pick up on anything we want, and do whatever we want, what is the difference from a hybrid dog?

For that reason, we must become saints who seek the blessings of God's grace and blessings, the power and gifts of the Holy Spirit, and the blessings of the Holy Spirit.

God has promised, “All things will be given to those who ask.”

Second, it is said that if we ask for God's rain, God will send rain showers.

If we look at verse 1 of the text

“Ask the Lord for rain, and he will send showers of rain to the multitudes, and the vegetables of the field will be given to each one.”

said

As mentioned earlier, when it rains in the spring, the crops receive the rain and bear fruit.

And various plants come alive and bloom.

When it rains in the desert, all kinds of vegetables and grains as well as all kinds of plants bloom and bear fruit.

So rain is absolutely essential for plants and animals as well as humans.

The spring rain mentioned in the text has a spiritual meaning.

Zechariah 10 introduces us to God's grace and blessings that come with the spring rain.

First, he said, “God will hear.”

If we look at verse 6 of the text,

“I will listen to them”

said

There are dead gods who do not answer when called, and there are living gods who answer when they call out.

The God we believe in is a God who hears and answers when we call.

When Baldwin, who died in 1947, came to power in England, the crowd cheered and hurrahed.

Then Baldwin shouted to the cheering crowd, "Everyone, before hurray, please pray to God for me and for the British Empire."

Even if you fail, even if the road is blocked, even if you succeed, even if you become rich, you must pray to God first.

And the most important thing is to listen to God's voice before starting your daily work and to start with a prayer of surrendering yourself to God.

Muslims offer their first prayer to Allah before dawn.

No matter how busy they are, they keep the prayer time.

Example>>

A kid in elementary school would throw my shoes under the bed before going to bed.

Curious, the mother asked.

“Son, why do you throw your shoes under the bed every night?”

“Mom, that is to get on my knees and pray to God every morning.”

“What does that have to do with praying every morning and throwing your shoes under the bed?”

“I have to get down on my knees to get my shoes out of bed every morning, so I don’t forget to get down on my knees and pray every morning.”

The God speaking to Zechariah at this time speaks to me and you.

“I am the LORD their God, and I will hear them.”

Pray that God hears our prayers, and start your life with prayer.

Then he said, “I will rejoice” because of it.

If we look at verse 7,

“Your heart will rejoice in the Lord.”

said

There are two kinds of people.

Those who rejoice in the world and those who rejoice in God.

People who are happy because of the world enjoy the world and have fun.

Fun to play, fun to make money The fun of meeting people makes me crazy.

People like this are busy and busy, chasing after meeting people.

That's why they don't go to church, they don't pray, and they keep away from God.

But it's not very long.

But those who rejoice in God are happy and moved by God.

Just hearing the name of the Lord and thinking about it makes me happy and happy.

“My joy, my hope, and my life, even if I sing and sing praises to the Lord day and night, my heart will always be filled with compassion.”

The hymn written by St. Bernard also confesses the faith of those who are moved by the thought of the Lord.

“If I feel good just thinking about the Savior, how much better will it be when I see the Lord’s face.

Dear Savior Jesus, be my joy and be to your glory yesterday and forever." Amen.

Those who rejoice in God enjoy God's work.

We hope that all of our members will rejoice in Jehovah God like this.

He also said, “I will multiply” because of it.

If we look at verse 8,

“I will whistle against them and gather them together, for I have redeemed them, and they will multiply as they did before.”

said

The shepherd whistled as he gathered the scattered sheep.

A whistle is something you blow to signal or feel good.

God the Shepherd blows the whistle and gathers Israel.

And he will bless them to prosper.

If he sees us, rejoices and blesses us, God who whistles with excitement, whenever we see Him, whenever we stand before Him, we should become saints who can praise Him.

Finally, he said, “I will establish myself in the Lord, and they will walk in my name.”

This is verse 12 of the text.

“I will establish them in the LORD, and they will walk in my name.”

said

When the ground shakes, the building collapses.

In an earthquake, houses and buildings collapse.

Likewise, when our faith is broken, our soul is broken.

When the house of the soul collapses, health, wealth, success, success, and happiness all collapse at that moment.

However, if you receive the rain of grace and your soul is revived, it will become strong.

And through that faith, we can live a life that we walk in the name of Jehovah.

Living in Jehovah's name means prosperous life.

At the end of the speech>>

I hope that this time will be a time for all of us to ask for the blessing of the Holy Spirit.

May we grow into a more fertile and fruitful faith through that rain.

The covenant God has made with us is that if we cry out, He will give us.'

In the name of the Lord, I bless you in the name of the Lord that you will become a precious time for earnestly seeking the sweet rain of the Holy Spirit with all your heart, all your mind, and with all your life, and that you will become prosperous.
