Title: The Saints Who Never Disappoint

Bible: Psalm 73:16-17

Starting Point of the Word>>

This time, we would like to share a sermon with the title of “The Saints Who Do Not Disappoint.”

As we go through life, we often get disappointed when we look at ourselves, others, and sometimes our conditions and circumstances.

About myself Why was I born this way? Starting from the beginning, there are times when my appearance and my work come to me as a disappointment.

Also, I had high expectations for a person by my standards, but if I don't, I will be disappointed.

The same is true for living conditions and environment.

We always want to have the best life, but only 1% of people actually do it the best.

As a result, they are disappointed with the living conditions and environment that do not fall within that 1%.

So there is a saying that people are loved and not trusted.

However, there is a bigger problem for us as saints, that is, we sometimes feel disappointed with God.

For example, it is disappointing how God could be like this.

This is called a test.

In a way, this may not be God's fault, but our fault for not being able to overcome through faith.

Through today's message, I hope you will realize the cause of our disappointment with God and use it as an opportunity to avoid repeating such mistakes.

Go to Word>>

So when do we get discouraged by God?

First, in doing God's work, we are disappointed when we do our own will or ask for our own will.

According to James 4:3,

“You ask, and you do not receive, because you ask erroneously to spend it on your lusts.”

said

In the words of John 16:24,

“Until now you have asked for nothing in my name; ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full.”

You did.

We are disappointed because we pray for our greed, and we pray for our own gain.

So Jesus will pray for our joy, the condition is that we ask in Jesus name.

It is said that there are three responses: an immediate response, no no, and wait.

The answer is no.

However, it is not impossible, but the more you pray, the more the opposite happens.

This was the case with Israel returning from Babylon.

According to Haggai 1:5-6,

“You shall examine your works, for you sow much, but earn little; eat, but not be satisfied; drink, but have no satisfaction; clothe, but not warm; and the laborer receives wages, but puts it in a bag with holes in it.”

said,

In chapter 2 verse 16,

“At that time, when they came to the heap of twenty-seven grains, there were only ten.

did it.

How hard and busy must have been for the people of Israel who returned to Jerusalem to build the temple?

On the contrary, the people's production only became more difficult.

Why?

It was because he was busy with his work, not putting effort into building the temple of God.

Disappointment arose because he sought his own will first.

Sometimes when we pray, we don't really understand whether this is God's will or our own.

However, we must be able to understand God's will through the Word and through the phenomena that appear in our lives.

Second, when we see all conditions and circumstances with our physical eyes, we are disappointed.

The physical eye This is the problem.

In today's text, Asaph also had a time of disappointment with God.

Asaph could hardly understand God when he saw the prosperity of the wicked who did not believe in God.

So, looking at the words of 73:2-3,

“I almost fell, and my steps almost slipped, because I saw the prosperity of the wicked, and I envied the arrogant.”

is saying

If God put the wicked like this, how could they be trusted?

Asaph saw that the wicked live in good health until the day they die.

If God lived, the wicked would have to die suddenly, but it was to live a healthier and better life.

People who slaughter innocent people, people who started wars, people who embezzled astronomical money, or cult monsters should be punished and die, but only as long as they eat well, live well and be healthy.

The wicked live wickedly and are arrogant and ferocious. Perky and pretentious, pride becomes a necklace, robes of violence, and the wicked make better money.

Then you deserve to be judged by God.

But we must remember that God also uses the wicked for the sake of His people.

But Asaph, who saw with the eyes of his flesh, was on the verge of being tested because he did not understand the will of God.

Then Asaph entered the sanctuary of God.

It is said that when they entered the temple of God, the glory of God appeared and the voice of God was heard.

To enter the sanctuary means to pray.

As I prayed, I saw in the spirit that the end of the wicked was tragic.

In their physical eyes, they seemed to be prospering, but their spiritual condition was not.

Not long ago, former President Roh Moo-hyun committed suicide due to the Park Yeon-cha gate incident, and I saw many people related to him line up to be investigated by the prosecution.

We can realize that they have many things and have honor, but eventually they go into the fire of hell.

Do not be discouraged by the things of the flesh prospering around us.

If you look at it with spiritual eyes, you should not be discouraged by the prosperity of the unbelievers and the wicked.

We are more of God's beloved people than that.

That is why, in order to give you something bigger and more eternal, He tries and refines you every minute. So he says, “It is a blessing for me to draw near to God; I will make the Sovereign Lord my refuge, and I will proclaim all your deeds.”

The problem is our blind eyes, which we cannot see with our spiritual eyes.

Third, we are disappointed when we do not know the blessings God has given us.

In the words of Ephesians 1:3, Paul says,

“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ.”

confesses.

There is no blessing that God did not give to us who believe in Jesus.

When you know that you have blessed me and hold onto that blessing with faith, everything becomes yours.

Because we already have the blessing and we already have the authority and power, we just have to believe, obey, believe and act.

Please do not wait for the experience of God appearing and giving you something.

Just as the Israelites had to go out into the wilderness to pick up manna and come back, we just need to read the Bible and receive it as mine and receive it as Amen.

Because we do not realize the blessings we have received from God, we are disappointed when we see God.

I hope that you will become believers who pray to know the wonderful blessings and grace of God given to us today.

When we pray, power is revealed and God's blessings are increased.

At the end of the speech>>

Organize your words.

Don't be disappointed.

We are not ordinary people, but people of faith who are helped by God.

Seek first his kingdom and his righteousness.

Please pray to reveal the righteousness of God, not the saints who seek for the lust of the flesh.

Also, I hope you do not look at the conditions and circumstances of life given to us with your physical eyes, but with the eyes of faith and the eyes of the spirit.

And finally, if we realize what blessings God has given us and enjoy them to the fullest, our lives will be filled with joy and gratitude, not disappointment.

I pray in the name of the Lord that today will be a precious and blessed day to fully enjoy God's great blessings to us.
