Title: The Saints Who Please God
2 Thessalonians (7) Saints pleasing to God (2 Thessalonians 3:1-5)
1. Saints praying for each other
The most blessed relationship is one in which we pray for each other. In that relationship, power and history are revealed. In particular, if we make deep relationships with God's encounters at church, there is less wasted life. How do you build deep relationships? To build good relationships, you have to sacrifice time, money, and devotion. But above all, we must pray for each other.
2. Believers who fully believe in the Lord
When you live your life of faith, not only spiritual leaders are attacked, but virtually all of the believers are attacked by unjust and evil people. But the Lord will surely protect the faithful saints (verse 3). Believe fully in God, be sure of God's love, and at the same time have confidence in your worth. A person's worth is not determined by his possessions or appearance, but by how much he is used. Happiness is not in worldly success. If someone needs me and recognizes my worth, that person is a happy person.
Old virgins often say that they will die, but when they get married and have children, that sound disappears. Because there are many people in the world, but they consider themselves to be the most precious and absolutely necessary person for their children. If there is one person who truly needs him, that is enough reason for him to live. There are people who need you even when you lower your head because you think you are useless. He is the God who loved and saved him.
3. Saints who stand right in the truth
Paul said he was confident that the Thessalonians would live by the principles of the words of Paul's missionary team (verse 4). It is also a message that contains hope and a request to live according to the principles of the Word. Although this is an euphemism, it means to live uprightly in the truth of the gospel, without falling into miracles and signs-centered faith and vain eschatology. What is the most important thing in your life of faith? Gospel. The reason why we do not change even if we believe for a long time is because we have not experienced the power of the gospel.
Good deeds can impress people for a moment, but they cannot change people themselves. After all, the best thing we can do for the soul is to present the gospel, not to show us our transformed image, nor to show us miracles. The gospel is the greatest power to change souls and the world. Therefore, if you want to become an influential saint, do not deviate from the truth of the gospel. What is the core content of the gospel? That's the cross.
4. Saints who love and persevere
The apostle Paul said that he wanted the Thessalonians to have the love of God and the patience of Christ (v. 5). One of the most important things in life of faith is to love God with confidence in God's love. And what is needed with love is patience. In order to be patient, above all else, you need to know how to wait with an open mind with a clear hope for tomorrow. In any field, seldom is anything worthwhile accomplished without waiting.
A woman divorced after 10 years of marriage. Because reality was difficult. After marriage, my husband's love grew colder, and from one day on, he started coming in late at night without a single phone call. Still, it was no use in preparing the dinner with sincerity. Eventually, too, she was exhausted and divorced by settlement and lived alone. But strangely, I felt empty every evening, as if someone was sure to come. Unknowingly, he found himself waiting for someone and complained like this. “It’s good to have someone waiting, though.”
It is better than choosing to break the lack of choices to make up for the shortcomings in difficult times. There is not a single person in the world who is not lacking. In such a situation, if you break the relationship for lack of it, there is no relationship left. Don't be too disappointed with your current look. Convince yourself that there is a promised future, and enjoy the future ahead of time with the attitude that it is okay to suffer a little in the present.
