The Salvation of Jesus John 3:16-21 New Testament 146
There will be no churchgoers who do not know John 3:16. “For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.”
These words are simple, yet very clear Gospels about God's love and plan of salvation. That is why it is also called the Little Gospel.
This verse speaks of judgment. God loved the world so that sinners who were going to perish could be saved through Jesus in this world. However, there are important conditions to receive this love of God.
The condition is “whoever believes in him”. When this condition of faith is fulfilled, God's blessing is granted.
To use this analogy, comedian Seo Young-chun comes to mind.
If there is an empty bottle floating in the open sea, and the cap and lid of this bottle are tightly closed, no matter how long the bottle is in the sea, it is the same as not getting a drop of water into the bottle.
No matter how wide and great God's love is, even if we live buried in it, if we do not open the door of our heart and do not accept it, God's love has nothing to do with me.
Look at verse 18 of today's text. “He who believes in him will not be condemned, but he who does not believe is already judged because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.”
No matter who you are, there will come a day when you will have to stand before the judgment seat of God. Do you know what the standard of judgment is then? Is it good? Or is it a moral life? Was it the asceticism he committed while he was repenting of his sins and tormenting his body? Or is it a discipline that trains the mind and body? Is it knowledge or property? none of that, no. There is only one thing, faith in Jesus Christ or not.
That is why 1 Corinthians 1:18 says, “The message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.”
To those who believe in salvation, believing in Jesus is more precious than life, but to unbelievers, believing in Jesus seems infinitely foolish.
But everyone! The Bible prophesied that in the Word of God there is a day of judgment greater and more terrible than this.
As we find the words of 2 Peter 3:10-14 together and engrave them in our hearts at this time, we will receive the blessing of avoiding judgment.

“But the day of the Lord will come like a thief, and in that day the heavens will depart with a loud noise, and the elements will be dissolved with scorching fire, and the earth and all that is on it will be revealed. With holy deeds and reverence, look forward to the coming of the day of God and yearn for it. On that day the heavens will be burned and dissolved, and the elements will be melted with scorching fire. Therefore, beloved, as you are looking for these things, do your best to be found in peace without spot or blemish before the Lord.”
Romans 12:11 says, “Do not be lazy in diligence, but be zealous and serve the Lord.”
When our people of God gather in the church, the purpose of gathering and doing something great for the church, to expand and nurture the church, is not given priority, but rather to share the grace of God that we have realized in the Lord with each other in the family and society, that is, this We need to find the ultimate purpose to go out into the world to reveal our changed image and to bear the fruit of salvation through the truth of Jesus Christ, who becomes life.
When our Saehan family gathers at church with this heart and faith, when we can all obey the Lord and live as children of God obeying the Lord, the true truth at the center of our hearts is the work of the Holy Spirit It is to connect you and my life with the nine fruits.
