Title: The saved life is a new life
Contents
There are two lives that come from God. One is the life of disobedience, which belongs to darkness, and the other is the life of obedience, which belongs to the light. The Bible calls the life of disobedience the old life and the life of obedience the new life.
The person who came out of the old life of disobedience is the first Adam, and the person who came out of the new life of obedience is the last Adam, Jesus Christ, who was born of the line of David.
Therefore, the first man Adam became a living spirit, and the last Adam became a life-giving spirit. These are the two sons who are the object of curses and blessings, begotten by the only true God.
The lives of these two sons are different. Also, the spirit that works among these two sons is also different. The Bible divides this into the spirit that works in the sons of disobedience and the spirit that works in the sons of obedience.
Therefore, there is an eternal curse on the old life and eternal blessing on the new life. Since God is the only God and Creator, His character is “curse” and “blessing”. Because curses and blessings are fair, He is called the God of justice.
Said the prophet, “I form light and create darkness; I form peace and create tribulation; I am the LORD, the doer of all these things” (Isaiah 45:7).
Therefore, against Satan, who took control of the old life, it was testified that “the serpent was the most cunning of the wild beasts that the Lord God had made...” (Genesis 3:1). This serpent is the “old serpent” of which the Bible speaks. As it is written, “The great dragon was cast out, the old serpent, who is called the devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world, and was cast out to the earth, and his angels were cast out with him” (Revelation 12:9). .
Because all things he created are his servants, the Bible divides them into evil and good servants. Therefore, it is written in the Bible, “The Spirit of the Lord departed from Saul, and an evil spirit from the Lord troubled him” (1 Samuel 16:14), and “God sent an evil spirit between Abimelech and the people of Shechem, and the people of Shechem betrayed Abimelech. so” (Judges 9:23).
This is to testify that there is a Spirit who allowed us to work in curses and there is a Spirit who allowed us to work in blessings. These two works of darkness and light are the work of only one true God.
Therefore, the Bible says, “One day the sons of God came and stood before the Lord, and Satan came among them” (Job 1:6), and “Joshua the high priest stood before the angel of the Lord, and Satan stood at his right hand to oppose him” (Job 1:6). The LORD has shown me” (Zechariah 3:1).
Therefore, since the new life is the life of true light, it is the life that will receive eternal blessings. This life is the life of salvation. Without this life no one will see the Lord.
He said, “You were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light, for the fruit of the light consists in all goodness and righteousness and truth” (Ephesians 5:8-9).
“Therefore we were buried with him through baptism into death, so that just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, so we too may walk in newness of life” (Romans 6:4). It's like ham. Amen, thank you Lord.
