The Second Coming of Jesus Christ (Revelation 19)

Revelation 19 is the scene of the second coming of Jesus Christ. At the Second Coming of the Lord, the righteous judgment that permanently removes the evil of the world begins, and the day of the completion of salvation begins when you meet the saints and live forever.

Verse 11 of this chapter says, 'And I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse and a man riding it, whose name was Faithful and True, and he judged and fought with justice.' It was.

Here, this rider on a white horse has the name 'Faith and Truth', who is completely dedicated to God and is the true Messiah and Truth, Jesus Christ. What will happen when Jesus returns?

1. World Judgment

The second coming of Jesus Christ is the day of judgment and salvation. It is the day the world will be judged and the saints will receive bodily resurrection. This is the day when the door closes with no more chance of salvation. Now is the time to gain salvation. Now is the time for evangelism. But on the day the Lord returns, it will be the day when all things will end and the opportunity for salvation will be gone.

2, 'His judgments are true and just; he judged the great harlot, who defiled the earth with her fornication, and avenged the blood of his servants on her hand.'

15 “A sharp sword comes out of his mouth, with which he will strike the nations, and he will rule them with a rod of iron, and he will tread the winepress of the fierce wrath of God the Almighty.”

Before God does the work of salvation, He always makes a righteous judgment first. Only then will we come to realize that salvation is just and possible through God's power.

The law of the Old Testament came first, and the new covenant of the New Testament, that is, grace through Jesus Christ. It is the law that suffering must come first, followed by blessings. Faith training comes first, and then you receive spiritual grace.

When Jesus returns, the world will be judged righteously first, which will judge the world first in order to prove that the faith of God's righteous saints is right to God.

Even when Israel was saved from Egypt, Pharaoh, the king of Egypt, was even more evil and made a point where he could not be saved, and he made them know what God's power is. Before they entered Canaan, they suffered 40 years of suffering in the wilderness.

When the Lord returns, He will judge the world first. And He will show the victory of the saints, and will live with you forever by changing the resurrection.

2. wedding feast

The day when Jesus returns is compared to the day of a wedding feast with the saints. The kingdom of heaven is compared to a banquet house.

Revelation 19:7, “Let us rejoice and rejoice greatly, and give glory to him, for the marriage of the Lamb has come, and his wife has prepared herself.”

Matthew 22:2 “The kingdom of heaven is like a king who made a wedding feast for his son.”

What kind of bride is worthy of the wedding feast?

1) The bride who waited for Jesus Christ

7, “Let us rejoice and rejoice greatly, and give him glory, for the marriage of the Lamb has come, and his wife has made herself ready.”

2) An undefiled virgin

Only when the saints are ideologically pure is to be qualified as a bride to meet the groom, Jesus.

8, 'He allowed him to wear bright and clean linen clothes, which are the right conduct of the saints.'

In Matthew 22:11-14, there is a message that many people are invited to the banquet house (heaven), but those who do not wear robes are sent to outer darkness, that is, to hell. Those robes mean the clothes of faith.

Matthew 22:11-14 "When the king came in to see his hand, he saw a man there without a robe and said, "Friend, why did you come in here without a robe?" and cast them into the outer darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.” Many are called, but few are chosen.”

3) They are the chosen people.

9, "The angel said to me, Write, Blessed are those who are invited to the wedding supper of the Lamb." And he said to me, "This is the true word of God."

To be chosen is a mystical word. But salvation belongs to the elect of God.

Revelation 21:27 “Nothing unclean or abominable shall enter it, but no one who lies, but only those who are written in the Lamb’s book of life.”

3. The Fall of the Antichrist and the False Prophet

When Jesus returns, the antichrist and the false prophet who have ruled this world and tormented the saints will be caught by the Lord's hand and thrown alive into the lake of burning fire. This is the day when the long and tedious great tribulation will end. This is the day when the persecution of the Antichrist will end.

20 “The beast was taken, and the false prophet who performed signs before him was also taken, who had deceived those who had received the mark of the beast and worshiped his image as a sign, and they were both thrown alive into the lake of burning brimstone.”

Toss them both alive to the fire of brimstone. Throwing them alive is a terrible punishment, and 'a lake burning with brimstone' is a place of hell. Throwing them alive into a lake burning with brimstone seems to emphasize the fierce judgment. And all the other armies of the antichrist and all the deceived ones are put to death by the sword of the word of Christ.

On the day the Lord comes, the antichrist and false prophet who received the spirit of the devil, which was beyond human capacity, will be destroyed, captured by the Lord with the armies of the world, and they will all be punished and die. will be

is.

In chapter 19, the hymn appears three times in a row. When the Lord's salvation comes, there will be many praises. Until the day our Lord brings victory, we do not lose our praise every day and wait for the day of victory. I pray that you and I will be patiently looking forward to the Lord's day and keeping our faith. Congratulations.
