Old Testament
9. Jabez was more precious than his brothers, and his mother named him Jabez, because it was because I had labored for him.
10. Jabez said to the God of Israel, "If you want me to bless you, enlarge my territory and help me with your hand, so that I may be out of trouble and have no trouble." Then God granted him what he asked.
new testament
10. I rejoice greatly in the Lord, for what you thought of me now sprouts again, and you also thought about it, but there was no opportunity
11. I am not speaking because I am in need; I have learned to be content in all circumstances.
12. I know how to be humble, and I know how to abound. I have learned the secret of being able to meet both satiety and hunger, abundance and want
13. I can do all things through him who strengthens me.
14. But it is well that ye have shared with me in my affliction.
15. You Philippians, you know that in the beginning of the gospel, when I left Macedonia, no church had any part in my work of giving and receiving except you.
16. Even when I was in Thessalonica, you sent me not only once but twice for my needs.
17. I am not seeking a gift, but an abundance of fruit to your benefit.
18. I have all that I have, and I have abundance, and I am content with what you have given me on the part of Epaphroditus, an acceptable fragrant offering, pleasing to God.
19. My God will supply all your needs according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.
20. Glory be to God our Father for ever and ever, Amen.

Jesus is resurrected so that we may live again. If we believe, the Lord comes into us and enables us to experience the miracle of rebirth. In today's text, the name of a man named Jabez appears. In the first 9 chapters of 1 Chronicles, there is a genealogy of 600 names, and God specifically mentions one of them. How his life was revived by the power of God
Has it been a blessed life?
1. He had a big dream. The prayer of Jabez begins like this. “If the Lord will bless me, enlarge my territory,” he begged God to bless. And he asked me to expand my area. He just didn't want to live a normal life. I did not intend to live a normal life. He had great ambitions in God's blessing.
2. He had a growing faith. “Thou shalt help me with thy hand” He believed that with the help of God's hand he could accomplish great things. The Bible does not say that Jabez had any special powers, wealth, or education. He was an ordinary person. Rather, he was so unwelcome that his mother named him “Jabez” (he brings suffering). But Jabez trusted in the power of God to bless him.
3. He truly prayed. “Leave me out of tribulation, so that I have no worries.” Isn't this prayer too selfish? Isn't that a belief? But the Bible says that God acknowledged his prayer and answered him. Why? Because he wanted the power of God to come into his life. This is because it was a sincere prayer, not a pretentious prayer that concealed the true intention and decorated it plausibly.
What do we want God to do with our lives? Is it a cure for a cracked marriage? let's pray Is it a solution to the problem? let's pray Will you achieve your goals? let's pray God is not a cop who watches from heaven to see if we do bad things and then punishes us. God wants to bless our lives.
