Title: The secret of self-victory (Paradigm switch.)
The most fearful enemy in the world is oneself. If you do not fight against your own desires, pride, weakness, and laziness, you cannot protect yourself. How much do you think about yourself? How much control do you think you have? This is a really important issue. French writer Victor Hugo said, "Today's problem is to fight, tomorrow's problem is to win, and every day's problem is to die." The way of self-victory, that way is self-destruction. The text teaches the secret. This is the confession of a great believer.
First, we are told to walk by the Spirit (Live by the Spirit!!).
People are bound to live by the norms they have lived up to now. But in that way it can never and never be renewed. There is one way, but do not follow my desire, my will, or my judgment, but follow the Holy Spirit. To borrow a modern phrase, we're talking about a Paradigm switch. There is nothing more frustrating than a foolish man trying to live his life to the fullest. You have to change your mind. Otherwise, you will perish and others will perish. “Whoever follows the flesh sets mind on the things of the flesh, and he who follows the Spirit sets mind on the things of the Spirit. For the mind set on the flesh is death, but the mind set on the Spirit is life and peace. For it does not yield, nor can it be, for those who are in the flesh cannot please God" (Romans 8:5-8). You must throw away all your skills, experience, and know-how and return to the beginning (blank paper).
Second, we must now have the mind of the Spirit.
The only search is meekness and humility, peace and truth. It's a new way. You have to start in a new world. The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of Christ. It's hard when the seeds come out of the ground. But once it comes out, it will grow quickly. When you take off your skin, you feel like you are going to die, but when you take it off, you can fly. Suffering becomes a blessing (strength) on the contrary. This is the secret of life (the Word). We must see with the heart of Christ (Philippians 2:5). There is no such thing as a new world. “There is nothing new under the sun.” (Ecclesiastes 1:6) Physical eyes are those eyes. After Jacob wrestled with a man (God) all night at the Jabbok Naru, his eyes were opened. Not yesterday's sun. It is a new sun in Jacob's eyes whose spiritual eyes are opened (Peniel/Genesis 32:30; Proverbs 16:2).
Third, we must crucify our passions and desires.
Paul said, "Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires" (Galatians 5:24). To be a Christian, you must nail your passion (lust) and lust (desire). This is a really important word. Even though they say they believe in Jesus, they try to solve the problem in their own way, thinking that their own method is the best. Such a person resents the most. Truly unhappy people are those who are drawn to their own greed, and the more miserable are those who struggle because they cannot overcome their greed. I am an old man, not a Christian. Don't listen to other people's stories. I can't do it either with a circle or with a skill. It is only possible through the Holy Spirit. Pray for grace. Pray (Luke 11:13). Let's love God hard. Let's love our neighbor with that love (John 14:17-29). I never become a winner until I give up being top-crazy. So Paul confesses that he himself died on the cross (Galatians 2:20). Hallelujah!!
