Old Testament
11. Thus saith the Sovereign LORD: I, I, my sheep, seek and seek;
12. If the sheep were scattered in the day when the shepherd was among the sheep, just as I seek my flock, so I will seek my sheep and deliver them from all the scattered places on a cloudy and dark day.
13. And I brought them out of the peoples, and gathered them from among the peoples, and brought them to their land, and brought them to feed on the mountains of Israel and by streams, in all the dwellings of the land
14. They will feed on good pasture, and they will put their pen on the high mountains of Israel;
15. I myself will shepherd my sheep and make them lie down, says the Sovereign LORD.
16. I will seek the lost, I will bring back those who are driven away, I will bind up the wounded, and I will strengthen the sick; but the fat and the strong I will destroy;
20. Therefore thus saith the Sovereign LORD to them, I myself, I will judge between the fat sheep and the lean sheep.
21. You push them on your side and on your shoulders, and you take all the sick with a horn, and you scatter the multitudes outside.
22. Therefore I will save my flock, that they will no longer be prey, and I will judge between sheep and sheep.
23. I will set up a shepherd over them, and he will feed them, and he will be my servant David, and he will feed them and be their shepherd.
24. I the LORD will be their God, and my servant David will be king among them, says the LORD.
new testament
31. When the Son of Man comes in his glory with all the angels, he will sit on the throne of his glory.
32. Gather all the nations before him and set them apart, as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats.
33. The sheep will be on his right, and the goats on his left.
34. Then the king said to those on his right, 'Come, you who are blessed by my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world.
35. I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me.
36. I was naked and clothed you, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to see me.
37. And the righteous answered and said, Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you drink?
38. When did you see him a stranger and welcome him, or naked and clothe him?
39. When did I see you sick or in prison, and go to see you?
40. The king answered and said to them, "Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me."
41. And he said to them on his left, 'Depart from me, you cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels.
42. I was hungry and you gave me no food, I was thirsty and you gave me no drink.
43. When I was a stranger, I did not receive you, when I was naked and I put no clothes on, I was sick and when I was in prison, and I did not take care of you.”
44. They also answered and said, "Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison and did not make offerings to you?
45. And the king answered and said to them, "Truly, I say to you, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me."
46. They will go into eternal punishment, and the righteous into eternal life.
