Title: The Son Will Set You Free!
At the time of Jesus, the pride of the Jews was skyrocketing. Compared to the Gentiles who lived like dogs and pigs without God's law, they were the holy people of God who received God's law and considered themselves righteous people. If there was only one hurdle, it was the way out of Roman oppression as soon as possible. That is why they have been eagerly waiting for the Messiah.
The Son of God appeared in front of those who were immersed in these thoughts. It must have been very pleasant for those who had been eagerly waiting for the Messiah. But it wasn't long before they started pointing fingers at the Messiah and condemning it as a heresy. The reason was that the Messiah did not do what they wanted. Their wish was to immediately drive the Roman soldiers out of the land of Israel.
But Jesus showed no interest in such things, rather, he was hanging out with sinners whom they shunned and hated. At that time, most of the people who were labeled as sinners were those who disobeyed God's Word (Law) and lived according to their will, and those who were ill because they disobeyed God's Word (Law). But Jesus was hanging out with such people. So, it was probably natural for Jesus to be pointed at by the holy Jar at that time.
In the Bible, we can see that there were many disputes between Jesus and the Jews. Among them, “if the Son sets you free, you will be truly free” (John:36), the most controversial among them. .
For those who were born as descendants of Abraham and have never been a slave to anyone until now, it would be absurd to say, “If the Son sets you free, you will be free.” This is the limit of human beings. This is because, on this earth, no matter how supremely wise and possessed of all knowledge, it is impossible to know the deep will of God.
While the Jews at that time were trying to enforce their claims, Jesus was in the position of coming to save sinners according to the will of the Father, so a conflict with them would have been inevitable. Judging from this fact, it can be seen that no matter how many people go to the temple and call on God's name, they cannot know the deep will of God.
The same is true today.
Today, the Gentiles, who lived like dogs and pigs without God's law, believed in the name of Jesus who came to the land of Israel and received the Holy Spirit to become spiritual Israeli (Christian) people. In return for the blood that Jesus shed when he died on the cross, God sent the Holy Spirit to the Gentiles who believed.
The Holy Spirit also gave spiritual laws to Christians who lived without laws. Christians who have received the Holy Spirit also have the obligation to live by the law. The law is that if you are good ten times, and you do it wrong once, you will commit all sins. Therefore, if a person who has received the Holy Spirit violates the Holy Spirit and lives as he pleases, he too must be judged at the end. While Jews had a law that found sin in the flesh, Christians have a law of the Holy Spirit that finds sin in their hearts.
However, Christians today do not know this at all. As a result, large churches and small churches all say that they have been saved, but there is no one who reminds them that they are still sinners living under sin. Because of this, Christians also have pride, just like the Jews at the time.
Pride is a phenomenon that occurs when one is freed from others. If you are truly as free as you think you are, you will be very blessed. However, just as the Jews at the time of Jesus believed that they were set free unconditionally by believing in only one fact that they were the descendants of Abraham, Christians today also believe that they are set free unconditionally by believing in Jesus and receiving the Holy Spirit. do.
As I have said countless times in my writings, just as Jews lived under the law for about 2,000 years, Christians also lived under the law of the Holy Spirit for about 2,000 years. The reason God first sent the law before His people and made them live under the law is that through the law, each should realize their own faults, that is, their sins. For Jews to understand the sins of the flesh through the law, and for Christians to understand the sins of the heart through the Holy Spirit. So, when the promised time (the end of the 2,000 years) comes, God will always send His Son to save sinners.
When Jesus came to the land of Israel, he came and began his public life after 2,000 years of Israel's history. Likewise, the Son of God who comes before Christians will come and do the work after the 2,000-year history of Christianity is over. However, the history of Christianity has already ended with the last 2,000, and 10 years have passed. Then the Son of God...? But Christians don't have to worry, now, in a little while, the Son will soon come to earth in our form.
Before we wait for the Lord, we “must realize that I am a sinner who has disobeyed the Holy Spirit.” Otherwise, like the Pharisees of Jesus’ day, they would not believe the Son even if they saw him in front of their eyes, or they would call him a heretic and kill him. Like the Jews, I don't want the Son of God to do my will or my own thoughts. If we do that, we too will end up being like the Pharisees.
No matter how correct my thoughts and claims are, if God is a sender, we must of course listen to His words and follow His will. If I put my claim and my stubbornness in front of Him until the end, he will only represent the claim of the earthly devil.
A person who discovers sin in his heart through the Holy Spirit and realizes that he is a sinner that cannot be expressed in words will never be able to assert himself before the Son of God. But those who do not understand themselves will like the Pharisees, trying to carry out their claims to the end. The Lord who comes before us will be able to discern whether we are wheat or chaff.
The only way we can truly be freed from sin (the devil and demons) is to receive the forgiveness of sins through the Son God sends before the Gentiles. That's the only way I can truly be free on this earth, and that's the only way I can be a blessed person by the Lord after being born on this earth. And such a person will come to eternal life through the Lord.
