Title [2011] The Soul Must Be Prosperous
Contents
(3 John 1:1-4)
First, we must receive forgiveness of sins. Sin is the source of darkness. The soul cannot prosper if it is dirty with sin. Therefore, the most basic thing for believers in Jesus is to repent and receive the forgiveness of sins. When you repent and your sins are forgiven, you will fly away, your heart will be at peace, your body will be light, and you will be overwhelmed with gratitude and emotion. That is why Jesus, who suffered on the cross to forgive our sins, is precious. In John 1:29, John the Baptist testified of Jesus, “Behold the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world.” In John 1:4, John testified that Jesus is the “light.” Through Jesus we can be made clean and bright. If you believe in Jesus, you will become a bright, cheerful, and positive person. It is because sin departs. I pray that your sins will be forgiven and your soul will shine through the blood of Jesus on the cross.
Second, we must be full of the Word. The word of God itself is life, power, and blessing. We must be filled with the knowledge of God. Just as Jesus is the light, the word of the Lord is also the light. Psalm 119:105 “Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.” In a word, this world is spiritual darkness. Originally, this world was darkness, or darkness, before all things were created. (Genesis 1:2) And, it is also the place where the devil, a fallen angel, and his followers were imprisoned (Jude 1:6). Therefore, the darkness of this world is strong. A person who has sinned continues to be affected by darkness, and in extreme cases, he is unaware that his soul is in darkness. That is why we must always be able to distinguish between light and darkness, blessings and curses through the Word of God. Apart from the Word of God, no one can dwell in the light.
Third, we must receive the Holy Spirit. Being filled with the Holy Spirit is important. Stephen’s face, filled with the Holy Spirit, was like that of an angel (Acts 6:15), and Jesus’ face shone like the sun on the Mount of Transfiguration (Matthew 17:2). If you are full of grace, the word, and the Holy Spirit, a person can see his true self. Brighter, younger and healthier. I am blessed by seeing many people gather at the Friday All-night Prayer Meeting to sing hymns, long for the Word, and pray. The soul is more precious than the body. When the soul prospers, all things prosper and we become strong. I don't believe in God well because I am well, but I believe in God well first. Therefore, if you believe in God well, then you will be successful. We live the same life of faith, but the appearance of one person's soul is dark and the other is bright depending on whether you believe in God first.
I pray that you will become the members of the Shepherd Church who prosper in all things and become strong just as your soul prospers.
