Title/ The Sound of the Church
Text/ Ezra 3:8-13
The temple should be a place where the testimonies that God's people gain in their lives are revealed, and the voices of thanksgiving and praise of God's grace that guide and work in their lives should be heard.
1, The sound of praise and joy 3:10-13
They mourned loudly, and many shouted for joy, for the loud cry of the people was heard from afar.
The old men recalled Solomon's Temple, and although it was not as glamorous as it was back then, they were moved by the laying of the temple grounds, and the sound of weeping and praising filled the city with joyous sounds.
It was sung so that the loud and joyful voices of praise could be heard from afar.
Praise the LORD according to David's ordinance, verse 10
(1 Chronicles 15:16-24) “David commanded the elders of the Levites to set up their brother singers, and play the instruments of the lyre, the harp, and the cymbals, to make a loud sound of joy.
One of David's charms was to rejoice in praise and to use musical instruments to please God.
2, The sound of fasting and supplication 8:21-23
We proclaimed a fast and humbled ourselves before our God, asking him to make a smooth way for us and for our little ones and all that we have...
Jerusalem was destroyed, the temple was torn down, and worship was dying while the Israelites were taken captive to Babylon and lived in captivity until they reached Mede-Persia. In the first year of Persia, “King Cyrus” was so moved by God’s heart that he sent the Jewish people to Jerusalem to rebuild Jerusalem, but this was not accomplished quickly and was delayed until “King Artaxerxes”.
(Isa 58:6) “Is not the fast with which I rejoice to loosen the bonds of wickedness, to untie the cords of the yoke, to set free the oppressed, and to break every yoke?”
3, The voice of the priests repenting on behalf of the people 9:3-6
Leaders need to hear the voice of repentance prayer that tears their clothes and hearts in front of the sins of the saints and the nation in order for the nation to live, the church to live, and the family to live.
(1 Samuel 7:5-11) “Samuel said, Gather all Israel to Mizpah, and I will pray to the LORD for you.”
4, The voice of God's intervention 10:9,13
They trembled because of the heavy rain. 9 But when the people are large and it is raining heavily, they cannot stand outside.
The rain that is given in moderation at the right time is God's blessing and grace.
However, too much is catastrophic, causing great damage and loss, and even taking lives.
Overspeeding, overeating, overeating, overeating, etc. are all problems caused by too much.
The death toll from the tsunami and volcanic eruptions in Indonesia has exceeded 440, and the number of missing has reached 300.
(Matthew 247-8) “There will be famines and earthquakes in various places; all these are the beginning of calamities.”
God announces the time and time through all things in the universe and prepares them.
I hope that you will be blessed by hearing the voices heard in the church through the ears of the spirit, not the ears of the flesh.
