Title: The Spirit of Christmas/Mark 10:45

The Spirit of Christmas / Mark 10:45

“The Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life a ransom for many” (Mark 10:45).

1. It is the spirit of service.

“The Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve.”

When the Son of God came to a shabby world, the whole world should serve Him. But instead of serving them, they treated them badly and rejected them, and finally they were crucified and put to death. But the Lord did not mind the attitude of such men. This is because the Lord did not originally come to be served. He showed that Jesus' life was a life of service and service throughout. We must all live the spirit of Christmas, the spirit of service and service, and make it our constitution to reproduce the Christmas of Jesus Christ in our lives. This precious hand from God will be the greatest gift when used for service and service. Where and what service are your hands planning this Christmas season? Instead of admiring only St. Nicholas, St. Teresa, and St. Francis, can't you and I be Santa today?

2. It is the spirit of redemption.

“He gave his life as a ransom for many.” The fundamental spirit of Christmas is redemption. If service is the prelude to the Atonement, then the Atonement can be said to be the pinnacle of service. For the sins of others, the atonement that takes the punishment that others deserve and takes away the sin and its punishment through death is God's holy love that cannot be found in the world. On the morning of Christmas, I even think about the death of the Lord. The Lord's service is mere humanitarianism unless it is connected with the ransom. I hope you will learn and practice the spirit of the Lord's atonement along with the Lord's service this Christmas. Let's become those who have compassion for the sins and sufferings of our neighbors. Condemnation and judgment are not ours. And to think that their suffering has nothing to do with me is a departure from the spirit of Christmas. How did Jesus view the woman caught in adultery and how did he deal with it? Neither do I condemn you, for I have forgiven you and sent you back, telling you to go and sin no more. The Lord did not condemn, but took upon Himself. How wonderful it would be if this spirit of atonement could be rekindled through us again this Christmas.

3. It is the spirit of sacrifice.

"To give his life"

The ransom does not come with money or words, but with blood. The blood is life. Some things can be done with money and sometimes with words. God's work of salvation and atonement must pay the price of sacrifice that gives life. On Christmas morning, I wish you peace among all who are pleased. The spirit of Christmas - I long for the coming of a blessed day when all people around the world celebrate Christmas with all their hearts by living and embodied in the spirit of service, redemption, and sacrifice. The world is waiting for Santa. We too must become Santa and go to them.
