Title: Stewardship's Three Gates

Bible: 1 Peter 4:7-11

Starting Point of the Word>>

In this session, I would like to share a message with the title of ‘The Three Gates of Stewardship’.

God wants us all to be precious stewards of the treasures of God's kingdom.

However, although we are always speaking the word, just because we believe in God does not mean that we are all stewards used by God.

Even in the world, there are many gates that you must pass through to get to important positions, especially when it comes to important positions or the more competitive they are.

Likewise, God uses several gates to test whether it is worthy before entrusting it with precious things.

So, when he passes these gates well, God entrusts him with the mission of a truly beautiful steward.

Therefore, we must become saints who long for this mission, and we must become saints who can devote ourselves to the mission entrusted to us.

Today, we pray in the name of the Lord that we too will realize the three gates of stewardship that God gives us and become the saints who will be used as precious stewards of the Lord through obedience.

Go to Word>>

Then, what are the three gateways that you want to talk about through today's text?

First, it is the gateway to faith.

We must believe that it is God who entrusts us with the mission of stewardship today. Only then can you take on the missions the Lord has given you.

According to James 1:17,

“Every good gift and every perfect gift comes down from above, from the Father of lights, who does not change, nor shadow of turning.”

are speaking,

According to 2 Corinthians 9:8,

“God is able to make all grace abound toward you, so that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work.”

Says.

When we believe the truth of these words, we can become stewards of the Lord.

However, in the wilderness, the Israelites had difficulties in passing through this faith gate.

It had been three days since Israel had crossed the Red Sea and entered the wilderness of Sur, but God did not give them water or food.

Water was also found, but the water was poisonous and bitter.

Millions of people had children, and countless animals were starving.

However, people did not realize that this was the gateway to faith and began to blame God.

When Moses said that God would feed him quail, he doubted, "Is it enough to slaughter sheep and cattle for them, and to gather all the fish of the sea?"

Then the LORD said to Moses,

According to Numbers 11:23,

“Then the LORD said to Moses, Is the hand of the LORD short? Now you will see whether my words will answer you.”

When he said that, he swept the quails that were on all the earth with the wind and supplied the camp of Israel with an overflow.

As saints, we must pass this gate of faith well.

God sometimes tells us to go through the same gate of faith.

Therefore, no matter how hard we work or do our best, when God does not give us the answer, we must know that it is God's test to allow us to pass through this gate of faith, so we must believe in the end and move forward without doubting.

Second, there is the gateway of loyalty.

God tests his loyalty with little things that cannot be satisfied.

According to Matthew 25:21,

“Well done, good and faithful servant, you have been faithful over a few things, and I will entrust you with many things, and enter into the joy of your master.”

I did.

Everyone has a habit of liking big things, so they are not satisfied with small things.

However, when God entrusts us with a mission, He allows us to do small things first.

And when we are faithful in those little things, He entrusts us with big things.

Before God made Joseph the prime minister of Egypt, he first made him a slave in Potiphar's house.

At first, Joseph worked hard at the house.

But not doing it like anyone else's business, but as faithful and faithful as his own, Potiphar entrusted Joseph as the housekeeper.

Even when he went to jail.

He was also loyal there.

Then the jailer gave him the position of managing the prisoners, and while he was loyal to that position, he was able to interpret Pharaoh's dream and become the great prime minister of Egypt.

This is the gateway to loyalty.

People say that if God gives them great things, they will do great things.

However, if we cannot do the Lord's will for even one small thing that has already been given to us, how can we handle the great things?

You should know that God is already testing you through the little things.

God sees if we do according to His will, no matter how small.

However, people compare themselves to others and only ask for more, rather than being loyal to what others say, “the bread of others looks bigger.”

And I think of everything as mine.

This will not pass through the gates of loyalty.

God took Abraham as his friend and made him a source of blessing, and before giving his descendants blessings like the stars in the sky and the sand on the seashore, he tested his son Isaac.

It was to burn the beloved, only Isaac, whom he had acquired at the age of 100, as a burnt offering on Mount Moriah.

But Abraham did not hesitate to get up early in the morning and do the work.

It was the moment when he was about to go on a three-day journey and come to Mount Moriah, where he laid his son down and stabbed him with a sword.

Then the voice of the angel of God is heard.

“Abraham, Abraham, do not lay your hand on the child, do nothing to him, for you have not withheld me, your son, your only son, and now I know that I fear God in you.”

Abraham, too, could enjoy the great blessing of becoming a 'path of blessing' and 'the father of faith' only when he passed through the gate of unfaithfulness.

Today, I hope that you and I will also have the precious faith to pass through this same gate of loyalty.

Third, and finally, there is the gateway of humility.

If we look at the words of verses 10-11,

“As each one has received a gift, serve one another as good stewards of God’s various graces. that God may be glorified through him, to whom is glory and power forever and ever, Amen.”

I did.

When we do God's work, if we mistake it for what we did, great things will happen.

The work of God was not done by me, but by the Lord through me.

And neither my strength nor my heart nor my thoughts.

This is because the Lord gave us strength, heart, and thoughts.

When this kind of stewardship goes through the gate of 'humility', God can use it with peace of mind.

People tend to be arrogant when God entrusts them with great things.

But God never entrusts us with great things unless we are humble.

Even what you have already entrusted to us will be taken away when we become proud.

For example, when Saul was humble, he made him king, but when he became arrogant and wanted to do his own thing, he took his place.

We must know that the time to gain glory is a crisis.

When David did not receive the glory, he monopolized the love of Saul, but when he defeated the Philistines by killing Goliath with a slingshot, the people said, “Saul has killed thousands, and David has killed tens of thousands.” At that time, it was a crisis.

From that time on, David had to avoid the envy of Saul, who was seeking life.

When we show our glory like this, the test of pride is to chase us to death.

So, the story of David and Saul is not someone else's story.

This is the gateway to humility.

God tests us by giving us glory through the gates of humility.

At that time, you have to be humble.

If you run wild as if it were all, God will take even what He has given you.

But when we are humble, humble, and humble, God gives and gives more and more precious things.

Therefore, we should not be angry when we are humbled.

James tells us to boast in our humility.

Even if we have done good like Jesus, we should be thankful for our humbleness even if we are condemned, beaten, and die.

That's the secret to getting a lot of humility points.

Before God gives something very big, sometimes He lowers it down enough to make us think that God has forsaken it.

But this is only a test to give something great.

God is testing us every day.

I hope that all of you will pass through this gateway of humility and become believers who will fulfill the mission of listening to God.

At the end of the speech>>

Organize your words.

We must pass through the above three gates and become saints who carry out God's mission.

To that end, I hope that you will imitate Jesus, who was used as God's missionary and became our true example.

Jesus was the Jesus of faith, faithfulness and humility.

Although he is the original form of God, he did not consider him equal with God. He took the form of a servant and came into the world in the form of a man.

And he obeyed the will of God even to the point of death and was faithful in serving sinners.

Although the Lord possessed everything, He was never proud.

Everything glorified the Father.

Therefore, God highly exalted him and made all things kneel before him.

God is testing us at various gates to see if we are worthy to use us as precious stewards.

I bless you in the name of the Lord that you will pass through the gate of faith, the gate of loyalty, and the gate of humility and become a steward whom God is pleased with.
